- jackb9I just noticed a new voicemail from Friday at 9:45pm, and was told that I had 36 hours to contact them back _or else_. While I do have some outstanding debts, harassment of this sort is uncalled for, and considering the state I live in, these debts are not wage garnishable. Also, I thought such prerecorded messages were illegal.

- DarleneI got a call from 317-534-0328 which is a local number for me, the recording said it was the district court arbitration. I googled the local number and came up with nothing. They left a message saying I had criminal charges of fraud filed against me in my county and I had 48 hours to return the call to 888-347-2365. They always call my job not my home. I do not have any outstanding bill that is not current so I ignored the calls but they call everyday with threats of my rights being forfieted if I am served with papers. I plan to file a complaint with the local Attorney Generals Office.

- NC ResidentI got a phone call from James Howard 888-347-2365 and a message was left to call him back within 48 hours due to a payday loan from Instant Cash Loan. I called back and spoke with David Lopez. He said to call him back at x301 if I had any questions. He gave me case number 435456. I called the following day and asked for David Lopez. Spoke with a female and was put on hold. I finally hung up. I suspect this is a scam.

- HarrassedI received a VM at my on Monday 4/8/13 with "This is James Howard with District Court Arbitration and you have pending arbitration againest you (gave ref. No) you will need to call 888-347-2365 to settle this matter within 48 hours or you will have suit filed in your county of residence. Good Luck." Then received the same message at my work number today. I work for the court system and too bad for them I know better. I will not be returning any phone calls. I do not know of any outstanding debts and keep a watchful eye on my credit report for fraud. Any legitimate debt collectors will use the proper procedures to collect a debt. Not scare tactics! These people are bottom feeders and it is unfortunate that some fall for these scams, out of fear of being put in jail. Debtors jail was abolished along time ago.

- Stephenia replies to Angry| 1 replyI just receive the same call case number 426159, when I called the number back 888-347-2365 and advised them that I have turned all the information over to Homeland Security the young lady that answered the phone laughed and called me [***]. This is a scam for sure but I pray that the wrong person doesn't get this call and take it serious.
- DKLJUST GOT THE SAME MESSAGE FROM AUTOMATED MESSAGE (JAMES HOWARD). I DO NOT RESPOND TO THESE AND ENCOURAGE EVERYONE TO IGNORE THIS SCAM.

- Tiny DancerJames Howard left a message on the general mailbox of our office phone. He did not ask for anyone by name. It was the identical script as above.
So who is he, where are they located, and how do we file a report against them? There is no such company listed anywhere on Google. The only way I found any information was by doing a search for the call back number.- Caller: District Court Arbitration

- engiel04It is amazing how James Howard has time to call everyone. Maybe they hired everyone named James Howard to call people. Yeah right! This is a scam. If there was truly a case pending then you would have received an attorney letter (or several) before these calls started. Hopefully as long as people keep reporting to these sights the numbers of individuals fooled will go down and they will stop trying to pull these scams. Also if you are ever wondering if there is a case against you call the clerk at your courthouse and ask. : )

- KatI just got a call from my boss, saying that someone from this number called looking for me. They indicated much of the same info as above....1. I will be served papers TODAY 2. They will sue and/or have me arrested. They reportedly, were very "MEAN" on the phone with my boss. I typed in the number to see who it was registered to, and got this page.

- Daisy Mae replies to Mrs. Christy| 1 replyI had my ringer off but somehow my cell rings and I NEVER pick up phone calls from unknown numbers, EVEN local area codes so this new "trick" needs to stop too, you idiot crooks! Anyway, I live in the Boston area, which anyone not living under a rock knows we didn't have too great a week last week. My first thought was maybe the [***] with no souls are now going to exploit the pain of this city and the United States for some "donations" for the victims' families, etc. They can't be that stupid, can they?! I never underestimate idiots, case in point the two idiots that dumped backpacks with bombs in them right in front of two sets of surveillance cameras. However, I digress; this is about d-bag FAKE [***] debt collectors. NUMBER ONE, who are you looking for? I didn't catch the name, buddy? Number TWO, don't mess with me this week, I'm dealing with a tragedy of great proportions to a city I love and three promising human beings are no longer with us and countless folks whose lives have been altered FOREVER because of immoral, scummy, apathetic SCUM SUCKING P.O.S.'s just like you people who rob people every day pretending to be "Investigators" and scaring folks out of money? That's extortion in the real world, JACKA**ES! You're no longer in petty theft, the Internet is a Federally protected thing and you could probably face FEDERAL charges and as a gentlemen had mentioned earlier, perhaps some sort of terrorist type charges. Don't know if you've noticed but we Americans don't appreciate terrorists. DUH! Anyway, call me AGAIN and all the past two weeks frustrations I've felt will be thrown your way. I DARE YOU!
- Daisy Mae replies to Daisy MaePersonal note to Mrs Christy, I wasn't directing this at you, my computer at work will only allow entries to a forum if I "reply" to the last post. I apologize if I offended you in any way. Thank you and God bless.
- UtahThey called me too from a local number acting like they're a court and taking legal action. Local number was 801-436-3690. It's a scam. No reputable legal firm or agency would have a recorded message leaving a harassing false claim.

- Nikki| 2 repliesSomeone called my direct number at work today and said they were district arbitration and my case number is 44517 and to press 9 to speak to someone. No one ever came on the line. They called from a local number 713-422-2197. Since they decided to harass me and harass everyone else I have reported them to the FTC and decided to call them all day on mute and harass them. I fell for this before and ended up paying $150 and I'm pretty sure this is the same company. What a bunch of scam artists.

- OnurA person named "James Howard" just called me and left a voice mail saying that I should call 8883472365 and he gave me a case number.
- Daisy Mae replies to Nikki| 1 replyNikki,
If it makes you feel any better; whether you fell for these jerks or not, they'd still harass you. I've been dealing with this crap for going on 4 years now and I have never so much as pretended to buy their bullsh** and yet they still waste their energy trying to rob me. And, I must say to you, BRAVO for calling them all day!!! I did that once to one group and kept asking them for their address so I could file a complaint and she asked ME to stop calling HER! I said "I'll make you a deal, you stop trying to rob me and I'll stop trying to sue and/or have you arrested for extortion". Sometimes, you just have to have some fun with it! You go, girl!
