Guy called with my name claiming he needed to verify an online transaction on my chase account. He could not tell me more information without texting a "verification code" to me. It was an obvious phishing scam.

How long did it take you to receive email confirmation? I received the same exact call after applying for a card, but have yet to receive and addition info or any email at all.

"Geoff" posted here in August.  Doubt he will be back to post more lies.  No one ever looks a number up when they know who called and what the call was about.  After all, you didn't did you?  Read the post right above your posts and that tells you everything you need to know.  Oh, I almost forgot, if you gave them any information then you need to read the FTC website about identity theft.

Chase calling to verify address on a recent credit card application. I provided them the address and within minutes chase emailed confirmation of the application, and thew new card was approved.

This IS a spoofing number   They hung up on me after I asked who the caller was. Upon calling back the number it says it’s Chase but if you want to speak to someone to call another number.

we recieved a text saying someone tried to charge over 1000 dollars on cool frames dot com
so when we called Chase, the number 888 373 1969 was trying to Call.
NOT trust worthy,   thank you for you who told us your story.

more info,  they tried to Call while we were on the Phone with Chase.  we ignored the call & i Googled the Number.

I think I fell for a scam, gave my ss# what a mess I may have started.

they called my cell number and the message left is valid msg from chase fraud dept.
weird that the number could be spoofed ; so its best to look up valid chase number to inquire

I got a call from the above # I placed an Amazon order and I did indeed apply for a Chase card and was denied as I knew I would be as I already have 2 chase CC. I got a spam call the need day stating "this is Adriana from Chase fraud prevention of the Amazon Prime dept. please call us back at blah blah blah.. SOOO NOW as I have read many people's complaint who "Have" said they DID indeed apply for a Chase CC YOUR concern should be the same as mine!!!! How the FUDGE did these scammers get our NUMBER???? In my case Did Amazon give these scammers my #? Did Chase? ALL I know Is I did NOT give anyone permission to give my # out freely!!!!SOOOO WTFUDGE!!!!!

Let me get this straight.  You applied for a credit card that you knew would be turned down?  Why?  Chase would not turn you down for a card unless you had bad credit or were late on your payments.  Fudge has nothing to do with this.

A Woman called from Chase Bank, for my recently opened account, was very convincing about the credit report being locked.
The connection was bad, that made me a bit suspicious, told her i need to verify the number and that ended the call.

SCAM number pretending to be Chase!  I don't have a Chase account and received 2 calls from this number from 2 different people a lady and a man.  This is a scam.

Called at 8:51pm on a Sunday, left a scratchy call about verification of an account I am not a party to or involved with. Smells like scam.

This number called me claiming to be Chase electronic money movement department.
He said that transfer for $711 was canceled. And gave another number to call.
It is a scam.
