- SitRep2 voicemails to 2 of my numbers, so this appears to be organized (crime) phishing. Just got off the phone with Chase, who says "the number from which you received these calls are not in our database, and your account records shows no activity of anyone reaching out to you."
The voicemail's speaker has a South Asia/Indian accent.
Today is Sept 21, 2022 -- as proof that my comment is real, here's a factoid: The New York football Giants are 2-0 right now, and even the Jets won last weekend. Those who know football will recognize just how rare that occasion is. I hope that's proof enough.- Caller: SCAM

- Will againI received a recorded message from this number although I couldn't understand clearly the information about the call. I called the number back, listened to few options but none addressed reason for the missed call and recorded message. I contacted Chase to confirm the call was valid and pertaining to a claim/dispute that has since been resolved.

- LisaT replies to Becky| 1 replyOf course the woman "was from Chase", you called their number! They would answer as whatever agency they initiated the scam call with. You need to go to the Chase website and call a legit number that they have posted.
- Just Wondering replies to LisaTWhy you think that person will be back after almost 3 years to read your reply?
- PNW callerCaller asked me to respond to either this # or the one on the back of my debit card. I spoke with Chase directly and they confirmed that this was NOT a Chase #. Scam.
- Caller: "Chase"
- NikI received this call after submitting an online credit card app last night. The woman was stumbling over her words and told me like 4x that my call was being recorded. She asked if I had applied for a card and confirmed my name, I said yes. She put me on hold. I googled the # and found these reports so I hung up with the goal of calling chase directly to verify. I then got the email that Chase approved my application. I tried to call Chase directly to verify but there's no phone # on their website and calling this number back just gives an automated message to call the number on my card (which I don't have yet).
TBD whether I actually get a card or not I guess? Maybe sometimes it's legitimately chase and others it's spoofed. It's impossible to tell.- Caller: Jomorgan chase
- AlbertAnswered and no one was there so I called back. Got an automated message that said to press 1 to out out of marketing calls and to call the number on the back of my card for further assistance (or something like that). Sounded legit but after seeing all the reports here, I'm now thinking it was a SCAMMER!!!!

- Randall| 1 replyI just link another bank acct with my chase acct and started a transfer to that new account this morning. Received a phone call from this number, I answered and it was a lady stating she was from chase bank and wanted to verify information about my transfer (she knew the exact amount I was sending). The quality of the call was very crappy, she was foreign, however when I asked again who she was, she restated her name and said she was calling from chase. She asked if she could send me a one time code to verify my identity, I did receive the code and I gave it to her. But immediately after I looked up the number - found this page (thank you). And hung up. I called chase customer service myself to see if it was them, and asked if they needed any info from me for my transfer. They said no. Definitely a scam, do not trust them!

- Becky replies to Kat*| 15 repliesBecause I called Chase Bank back using the bank number on my credit card. I looked the number up because I'm always suspicious of missed calls from numbers I do not know. I called the bank - not the number that called me. I verified the number that called me. So, pooty pants, that's how I knew. Also, seeing that some others were claiming the number to be fake, I posted my experience. Okay, pootypants?!
- MikeHuntleton replies to Becky| 14 repliesWow! Took you 2 years and that is what you came up with!?? Might want to continue with your school work and try again in a few more years when you are a little more educated on comprehension and can at least come up with a better lie!

From todays post:Becky wrote:I hung up and called the number back and it was indeed a Chase bank number.
So now you say it was the number on the card....liar liar, pants on fire!Becky wrote:....using the bank number on my credit card......
I called the bank - not the number that called me - Becky replies to MikeHuntleton| 12 repliesYou might care to get your facts before calling anyone a liar. The only reason it took me so long to reply is because: 1) I do not receive notifications of replies. 2) I wond up back here, today, all thus time later because I had just seen a missed called from this same number (888-373-1969) so decided to look it up first. Next, I saw the old reply to me. I've been going over my Chase issue which is the reason that generated this call to me. I return here to thus website to update info and now see your reply. My Chase credit card is via Anazon Prime. Otherwise, I do not have a Chase Bank account.
Here's what you should consider. Perhaps Amazon Prime uses different departments, because here we are, three years later, and Chase fraud is still using 888-373-1969 & it's still legitimate. By the way, my issue involved an overseas transaction, so maybe that's the reason you don't recognize this number. Not only did I verify the legitimacy, I also received their letter in my chase-dot-com credit card account. I'm not going to give further details of my situation, but I can tell you the number is definitely legit! I suggest that anyone who I'd concerned about answering such a call (mine was a missed call with a voice message) to do what I did, which is to log into your online account and to call a Chase bank number which you are familiar with. Now stop calling me a liar because my situation has been resolved and it's a fact that Chase Bank verified all of this. - Becky replies to Becky| 2 repliesAddendum, please excuse my phone correction typos. Thus/this ... wond/wound... and so on.
- Becky replies to MikeHuntletonI never said anything was the number on the card. I said that I had called the number on my card instead of calling the missed call number. And in her voice message, she keft a department number to call back, but I still called the number on my credit card AND logged into my online account for further info. I have an Amazon Prime Chase credit card. You don't need to be such a mean person trying to insult me. Get a grip and accept that you might be misinformed. Also, try using a Voip number to call the 8883731969 just to listen to your call going right to Chase Bank. But again, if you have any reservations about a number, then call the number that you're sure of, like the number on the back of your bank card.
