Thank God I didnt give her my information because i..do not remember! I told her can I sent her throught email and she said no, she just because of safety that why i was getting suspicious, looked up this number and i feel so lucky that i didnt give her my inf.

Fake chase number

A few days after I'd applied for a Chase CC, I get a voice mail from this #, claiming to be about "activities on your account", and saying to call another #. There has been no activity.  Neither number obviously matches numbers on Chase's website,

Didn’t answer. Caller left a voicemail saying there was a fraud alert on my Chase account. Left a number to call. Interestingly, I just opened an account with Chase. I checked my account and no activity.

She calls from Chase Bank, sound like she has a very bad connection, ask for confirmations. I hang up she calls back. Is this better connection, no. Foreign accent, black sounding woman.

I received this call from this number today? She said someone used my ZELLE to transfer money and asked me want to REJECT or not? And I said yes and after that my account got blocked .. she didn’t ask any of my information??? My zelle transfer to someone named by DARREN@solarissnergy.com  $287.. so awkward

Same situation with me.  I had applied for a credit card and they wanted to verify.  Did not ask any personal information.  Not a scam at all.

This is the Chase Bank Fraud Department.  I applied for a credit card on line the day before.  I am already a Chase customer, and when I did the on-line application I typed in my phone number incorrectly.  As the incorrect number did not match the number Chase had on file for me, they called to insure it was really me and not someone else trying to open an account in my name.

It was not a hoax, and the only information they asked me was "Did you apply for a credit card" and then they read the name, address, and phone number I put on the application and asked if any of this was incorrect.  I told them I had mistyped the phone number and they corrected it and said "Thank you, you have been approved."  I was hesitant to answer at first as there was no name on the caller ID, but I was expecting a call from a doctor's office so I answered it and I'm glad I did.

They did not indicate to me that they would send any email confirmation.  Told me "thank you" and then said I had been approved & card would be in the mail in 7-10 days.  That was only a day ago.

We have been contacted by individuals utilizing this number on at least 4 separate occasions over the past week. Each time they state they are from Chase and need us to supply them with documents after our number has been verified. Our Executive Director contacted Chase this morning and a few minutes ago they responded verifying that this number (888-373-1969), is not in any way associated with Chase Bank. It is a scam.

Unanswered (unfamiliar number). No message left. From the previous notes left I would guess this is a 'Chase' call, but certainly a scammer as I do not bank there and have never applied for a Chase card.

Thank you for this information.  I told her I couldn't hear her very well to call me back at my other number & she couldn't call me back I had to call her at a different number than one she was calling from & to use ext 1050001175.  Chase WOULD NOT have ext. that long.  She had my email already & sent me an email under the name Hawa Diawara.
Busted!!  Number was blocked!
