I received six calls in two days.  Can't talk to anyone at this number so I have simply deleted the number.

Also .. how are they supposed to 'bill you later' ?  email ?  snail mail ?  obviously it's their responsibility to present you with at least one bill before you can be or past due.  Did anyone receive anything ?

I do have an account for Bill Me Later and due to some unforeseen circumstances I couldn't pay the account. They have called numerous times and I didn't even bother to answer nor calling them back. So yesterday BML left a message on my parents voicemail to get a hold of me and that made both my parents a little upset. The fact is that my parents number is not on my contact list.
I was wondering since they called someone that is not on my contact list is illegal, and should I contact FDCPA about this?

This is Bill Me Later blowing up my phone because I owe them some money.
But the joke is on them, cause I gave them my Google Voice number and it defaults straight to voicemail.
They'll get their money when I get some cash in my pocket.

It is Bill Me Later company. I was told by Rep they do not leave messages incase its not the person who responible for acct eg..you have chnaged your phone number. Rep states they didn't want ur personal info left on a someone elses voicemail.

The reason they do not leave a message is because, by law,  once they do, they cannot call back that day or call any other number you have listed in your account.  This enables them to call you multiple times a day on all your listed numbers.

Here is a novel idea, be RESPONSIBLE. If you are behind on your bills, own up to it. Don't come up with excuses. You are the only person who is responsible for where YOU are. If you need help ask while you correct whatever the problem was that put you in this place. Personal responsibility will set you free. Own up to it.

you are absolutely right...and i am not delinquent either.  i just do not answer the call since the call is re-routed so that is why you never can get an answer when you dial it back.

Called in afternoon, never left a message and Caller ID says "Unavailable". From reading the comments, it is not believable that this is from Bill Me Later. Googling the number doesn't show paypal or billmelater website on the first page. Billmelater has an 866 number. If it is actually from them, the caller ID would say so. According to paypal, they would never ask for your personal information via email so that should apply to phone calls made by them, if they ever make them. If they genuinely want you to pay your bill, they would most likely send you an email about it and before ever making any phone calls, if they ever do that. Finally, I do have paypal but never used Bill Me Later. I never purchase anything that I don't actually have the money to. If I do owe them money, why don't they just take the money out of my account. This is a phishing scam and they're preying on their massive stolen phone list hoping they'll hit that one person who actually has Bill Me Later debt and is gullible enough to admit it.

All three of these numbers are scams, believe me. And if anyone knows how to report these to the FTC or FCC, please tell me how. I am a professional digital marketer; I do this stuff for a living, every day. And I know a scam when I see one.

all three of these call on autodial daily until you either block them or call them. All three say they're from Bill Me Later. I know it's a scam because first of all, I don't use Bill Me Later. So I cannot possibly have a past due amount.

I called the second of the 3 number listed above about a month ago. I spoke to a lady who claims she's from Bill Me Later. I asked her to prove to me this is who she is. She couldn't. They're full of crap. I told her to remove my number at once and don't call me anymore. She then wanted all sorts of info: first and last name, address, etc. Why do you need all this to remove my number from your autodial list?

Then she gave me some BS excuse about how she would do her best to remove my number but she didn't have a record of the exact number I gave her so I might continue to get calls blah blah blah. Come on! You're a Paypal company and you can't figure out how to remove me from your list???

But what they don't know is I'm a programmer. I created a program to record every time the number calls, and to reject the phone call automatically.

Guess what happened? I stopped getting calls from 8883937162. All went well for a few weeks. Now I started getting calls from 8883937163.

Does it look phishy to you? Notice anything special about these two numbers? They're exactly the same, save one digit.

I called the 8883937163 number today. I demanded that they remove me at once. I explained to the guy that I already supplied my phone number last time, and I'm not giving it again. Take me off or be prepared to be served by the FTC.

This [***] had the audacity to say, "Well, unless I have your first and last name and the number we called I can't help you."

THIS IS A SCAM. don't get sucked it. No professional company would behave like this. I'm going to call Paypal and BillMeLater today and ask them if these numbers are theirs.

Ok, I just called Paypal directly to ask about these numbers. The 3 numbers I just gave are NOT from Bill Me Later. He called Bill Me Later through his internal direct line to confirm. And he said they are not affiliated with Bill Me Later and it's a phishing attempt.

Done. Reported them to the FTC. I feel that the more of us who do this, the more likely it is they'll take some action on it.

@Bob You're welcome. Here's a 4th number to add to the list: 866-380-6582. Same scam. Seems they've bought up a whole bunch of numbers like this. Give me some more time, and I'll find out the company who leases these numbers, and tell them their numbers are being used in an abusive, deceitful way. That'll cut them off at the source!
