who are they and why call me?

This number has called me at least ten times in three days. I question if it's fraud.

How many times will you allow them to call before you obtain a call blocker?

Constant daily calls!

they call frequently and I have them blocked. If they are indeed Paypal/Bill Me Later, I made my payment, quit calling already.

For the last 4 Sundays and only on Sundays they call at least 3 times. Don't leave messages. It says pay pal I have talked to paypal and supposedly this is not one of their numbers. I have a paypal account but don't use it often.

Annoying calls without saying who they are

Called about outstanding PayPal Credit debt. When provided with invalid SSN and birthday they did not recognize the wrong information.

6.21.18 @ 10:16 AM-- "PayPal" (888-393-7163)--Caller hung up when call was picked up by answering machine; so most likely a SCAMMER, using a spoofed name and number.  I doubt that the REAL PayPal would call people on the phone, for ANY reason.  NEVER answer these calls!  Better safe, than sorry!  (*IF* it is actually PayPal, I would presume that they would attempt to contact their account holders via email or regular mail, if they are unable to reach them via telephone?).

It is indeed a possibility that a scammer is calling someone else. Posting your personal experience with what you believe is legitimate for you, doesn't serve to reassure anyone else theirs will be too, since scammers spoof legitimate names/numbers and you can't possibly know if someone else's caller will be the same as yours.

Never trust a caller to be who they claim, always call from an official number to verify if they did call.

I discovered that this is Bill Me Later, aka Paypal Credit.  Apparently, I was short about $20 for a payment and they were calling to inform me of this.  They're not scammers.

Everytime I answer this call, which is a lot, I hear no one on the other end. I say my name twice, and there is nobody there. ...probably a heavy breather.
