These loans are not valid in Texas.  They cannot garnish your wages or take any of your assets by Texas law.

! There is an alert for this business !
On December 16, 2013, the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) filed a lawsuit against California-based CashCall, its subsidiary, WS Funding LLC, and its affiliate, Delbert Services Corporation, a Nevada collection agency, all under the common ownership of J. Paul Reddam.

The CFPB's complaint alleges that defendants CashCall, WS Funding, Delbert, and Reddam have violated the Consumer Financial Protection Act's prohibitions on unfair, deceptive, and abusive acts and practices. The Bureau's investigation showed that the high-cost loans violated either licensing requirements or interest-rate caps - or both - in at least eight states: Arizona, Arkansas, Colorado, Indiana, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New York, and North Carolina. Under statutes in at least these eight states, any obligation to pay such loans was rendered void or otherwise nullified in whole or in part by law. Therefore, the defendants are collecting money that consumers do not owe.

The investigation discovered that beginning in late 2009, CashCall and WS Funding entered into an arrangement with Western Sky Financial, a South Dakota-based online lender. Western Sky Financial asserted state laws did not apply to its business because it was based on an Indian reservation and owned by a member of the Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe. But this relationship with a tribe does not exempt Western Sky from having to comply with state laws when it makes loans over the Internet to consumers in various states.

In September 2013, Western Sky stopped making loans and began to shut down its business after several states began investigations and court actions. But CashCall and its collection agency, Delbert, have continued to take monthly installment payments from consumers' bank accounts or have otherwise sought to collect money from borrowers.

You should check with your state: Department of Insurance and Financial Services. I received a letter from them and researched it. There is a lawsuit filed against Westernsky/ cashcall/ Delbert services. I have to submit a claim by September 18, 2015 to receive a refund! I checked the State of Michigan (were I reside) website and there is was the entire lawsuit docket!

You work for them, yes people may take out those loans and if you do I would say that's on you. BUT its own our government and FTC to shut down these lowlife criminals, you are thief, not the consumer, you are the one taking advantage of people that are in a bind, you are the one with OUTRAGEOUS interest rates, when you prey on people that are not mentally aware of what they are doing, then you are the Criminal, WHY DON'T you guys just give loans at a respectable interest rate, you know as well as anyone that the interest is OUTRAGEOUS,. A while back a friend of mine took out a 1500 loan, she said later they only gave her 1000 but charge her interest on the 1500, there was a 500 handling fee, now that is robbery there, but she needed the money for surgery and later she was suppose to receive an insurance check and she was only going to hold out the loan for two months and pay it all back, well after her surgery, the insurance check came but 2 days prior, there was a flash flood and she lost her home and belongings, even her car.  So she had to live on the money.  Now she is on her feet she wants to pay it back but they tell her she owes $14,000 on a $1,000 loan.  That's robbery, and theft.  You can charge a high rate but nothing as posterous as that.  You are the criminal and the sociopath, stupid mindless hood rat.

I wouldn't pay them any more either, I would have stopped at $1000, I will pay double but nothing more.  $4000 for 500.00 is legally stealing from you.  Your right Texas is a great place, they can't garnish your wages for anything there but taxes and child support.  They can't call you either if you tell them to stop, they must.

I agree, they are HIGHER than the court, because if you go to court, the judge will see how crazy the interest charges are, and will deem them unreasonable.  I was in court and saw the judge favor the consumer because they were being crazy wanting $12,000 on a $1500 loan when the person had already paid back 7000 for 2 years.  So I would go to court before I gave the robbers all that interest

No way would I have paid back 20,000, maybe 8 to 10 just because I did borrow. But 20,000 is way to much.  That is not even reasonable.  That's just thievery, and crookedness to the maximum

Sharing good news.  I received a letter from Cash Call saying that all Cash Call loans and their affiliated companies (Western Sky, etc. ) have dismissed all debts for FL customers.  No further collection and if a FL customer overpaid a loan they will receive a refund.   This is due to a lawsuit settlement.  The lawsuit was brought by the FL State Attorney Generals office.
