Just got the recorded call. They claim to be wanting to make a refund since the company has gone out of business.  They are looking for personal information like: you name, address, account numbers (supposedly to return the refund), etc. Do not  call this number at all.

I also received a call from this number but fortunately it was blocked after the first ring by my blocking  service. They have designated it as a scam Robo caller, marked severe call activity, last blocked February 13 and do not answer. I also googled the number on its own and there was the verbal and written transcript of the call from said blocking svc. I clicked on the verbal in order to listen to it and it was a very monotone sounding female giving her spiel concerning the Microsoft refund. Do not answer this call nor call it back if it leaves a voicemail.

Please call us on our toll free no. 1-888-402-9182. Repeating again 1-888-402-9182. Thank you." This is pure BS and is a nefarious SCAM!!

I asked them if I paid before or after they send their mother and sister over. I was told to F my mother. After explaining to them, that isn't how it works, that in fact it's their mother or sister...they hung up! The nerve of these people

Help spread the word and prevent someone from becoming a victim.

    Fact:
    • ANYONE who calls you and says your computer called/contacted them is a SCAMMER.
    • Windows Operating System licenses do not expire.
    • ANYONE who calls you and leaves a robo message about your computer is a SCAMMER.
    • ANY Tech Support Warning pop-ups you get while accessing the internet asking you to call a number or visit a website, is from a SCAMMER.
    • Web Browsers DO NOT have the ability to determine and warn you your computer has an error. They can only warn you about a potential malicious website. A Browser is software that allows you to surf the Internet, not diagnose a computer or phone.
    • ANY Tech Support company that insists you need their services because of some error, outdated software or tries to convince you that you need to allow them remote access is a SCAMMER.
    • Nobody could possibly know if your computer or devices have an issue unless you tell them or gave them access.
    • Tech Support companies DO NOT call to give out refunds because they are "going out of business". In fact NO company gives refunds when going out of business unless they did not provide you with what you paid for.
    • Companies DO NOT call to inform you that your subscription will be charged if you don't call back, only SCAMMERS do that. If you have a subscription with someone, they automatically charge you until you cancel it.
    • Only a Scammer would want Remote Access to give a Refund.
    • 3rd party Tech services DO NOT include Email account repairing or password resetting, since they can not access the email server unless it belongs to them.

Please read about how Tech Support Scammers operate the scams and warn everyone possible about them.
