- SDFIt's a debt collector tied to Portfolio Recovery. Portfolio Recovery Associates / PRA / PRA Locations Services / PRA Government Services will disguise themselves as anything E.g. ATT, survey, cardholder services, local numbers, private caller, or whatever. If you've ever received a disclosed call from this organization no matter if you're the alleged debtor, relative, friend, or other you're are also receiving all sorts of unidentified calls like this one. They like to use the term "alternate contact number" but your number is "associated" in some way to some alleged debtor. "Cease and Desist" mean nothing with these corrupt predators as their main contact is through unidentified, spoofed, undisclosed call tactics. They are not the only debt collection agencies using these tactics, it's industry wide.

I had blocked all the 800 toll free numbers including "888" a while back except for "800" with my CPR Call Blocker v202. I received one call yesterday and two calls today. None got thru because the CPR intercepts and disconnects numbers before the first ring. Blocked numbers still shows up on the CID. Yesterday I called it back via Skype which uses a VOIP Skype number in California and listened to the automated answer. It said it was AT&T Uverse sales to leave my number if I did not want to receive future calls.
A tip of the hat to the previous poster SDF 16 Jun 2015 for the information.

- Sick & Tired in TXI have AT&T and have had them for many years. As a matter of fact we had cause to work with AT&T last week. This encounter went great and as we finished the call, mt AT&T rep said AT&T would be calling to see if everything was handled to our satisfaction. Within 24 hours, sure enough, AT&T called and I gave our customer service rep a rave review. Let me assure everyone, when the follow up call came in, my caller ID listed the following name: "ATT". I have never received a call from ATT that did not clearly identify itself as such on the caller ID. I received a call from this number about 30 minutes ago. Because there was no name on the. Aller ID, I didn't answer which is my usual practice. As soon as the answering mode went in, the call was disconnected. Now the number is blocked. I have a Panasonic phone/setup which allows me to block up to 20 calls. A benefit from AT&T and my daughter says it's typical of many carriers, is that thru AT&T, I can block an additional 30 (at least) numbers, so it's worth checking into if ya'll want additional blocking choices. Good luck to all of us fighting these maggots who are out to swindle those of us breaking ourselves to make a living!!

- steven rAT@T called at 7:50 pm asking if I wanted to increase my internet speed. I told them NO!!! IF I WANT TO INCREASE MY SPEED, I'LL CALL YOU. IF I GET ANY MORE OF THESE CALLS, I'LL BE DROPPING AT&T.

- Fed Up With AT&TI keep getting calls from this number and a message is never left. I called back and told them to stop calling me, that I have all their services already and do not want to change them to higher priced plans. I already pay out the ying yang for everything as it is. See if that does any good though. I have put the number on my number blocking list. I am sure they will still find a way to get around that.

- DorseI have noted 5 calls that began in early February. Received the 5th at 10:30 this morning.
Those who believe it is AT&T even with no corroborating caller ID really need to stop being so naive, because that is the type of mentality that scammers play on. But even if they don't fall for it, they still waste a LOT of energy and misplaced belief.
I regard these calls in much the same way I view vermin and pests: temporary annoyances that I do what I can to minimize. Reading the reports here greatly enables me to devise an appropriate strategy, meaning add to block list.- Caller: Not known

- Lone WolfAs usual, I didn't answer the phone, and as usual they didn't leave a message. Not the first time they called here and I'm getting different information from those who's already posted. Right now it's AT&T, some is saying it's this company and that company. I'm just going to nail it down to it's a bogus call. I've got AT&T U-verse and I'm too happy with them long about now with their inflated prices and I'm looking else where for a better deal given I live on a fixed income and when things start hitting the hundred dollar a month mark on an income of less than $735.00 a month, something has got to give. Afraid it's going to be AT$T. I don't like how they do underhanded business! Like so many others, I'm looking to leave AT$T, yes I put the dollar symbol in the place of &.

- LONE WOLFI said, I've got AT&T U-verse and I'm too happy! I meant to have said, I'm NOT too happy. I usually proof read before hitting the Submit button. Got up to check the caller and didn't got back to proof read. My mistake!

- LouThey just hand up when the answering machine comes on. Others are saying it is AT&T regarding U-Verse. I have U-Verse, so I don't know why they would call me.
- SteveLike many who have posted...this was a hang up. Looks like AT&T sales crap. Thanks for all who posted.
- CWG40| 1 replyAT@T (or so they said) supposedly working on customer satisfaction, called at 2:39 am PST telling me he was ready to increase my internet speed. I decided to listen to his clap-trap. Turned out the guy was almost completely incoherent and spent the bulk of his time hemming and hawing throughout his presentation. Talked like he didn't know what he was doing. I told him so and also told him he might consider training for a different job.

- Fed upI recieved a call from this number. I didn't answer the call. It's annoying, to have business with AT&T does not give the right to bother anybody call any time they want. Id do not show caller name

- a sad at&t customer alreadyThey keep calling = ID says "toll free number" only but it is probably AT&T as the above people say because they keep calling me wanting me to buy something more.
