They called my mother saying they were going to garnish her wages if she didnt pay them IMMEDIATELY, they just wanted her credit card number. She wanted their information so she could make payments, but they refused to give ANY information where they were located or send her infomation about the situation.

Claiming to be Jordan Michaels from EAS. Attempting to collect very delinquent debt. I called Jordan Michaels back and some other gentleman answered the phone- and didn't even say the name of the company when answering-VERY ALARMING! It was as if the 888 number was a personal cell phone. I asked to speak to Jordan Michaels, and he had me hold on the line. He came back and said that they were actually looking for Judith McKendrick and my phone number would be taken off the list. I AM GUESSING THIS NUMBER IS A SCAM!!!!!

Wages are garnished by court order - not because a cold caller says so.    Refusing to give company information is a violation of the FDCPA.   That should help you decide.

you guys are idiots. you could be a reference for someone just because you get a collection call for a wrong number doesnt mean its a scam duh. just because someone answers the phone saying their name and not company doesnt mean its  a scam. i paid these people after calling the original creditor  and my debt did belong to them and was paid off. your all broke debtors who have nothing better to do.

    Hi there,

It looks like you have a very limited education. You have no concept of capitalization, punctuation, or sentence structure. 8 year olds can write better sentences than you.  You have all the hallmarks of illiterate shill for a criminal enterprise.  You may want to grab a dictionary, so you look up the big words I have used.

Unlike you, I pay my bills.

It appears you have been shilling.
To avoid that accusation, we need answers to the following questions:

Funny that you should be calling us idiots.  Know what else is really funny?  It happens to be your username, which is rather ironic.  By the way, is the shift key on your keyboard not working or are you just a lazy shill?

(as I was saying) LEGITIMATE companies identify themselves when called. How else would you know who you are calling is who you need to reach?
And did this company prove, via US Mail, that you owed them? 'cause see, phone calls are not legal methods of debt validation. If you paid them without written, mailed proof, you've opened yourself up to being scammed again. "Hey, everybody, this person pays without proof! Call them again!"

They remove the shift key from the shills keyboard - they're more efficient that way (PPH...post per hour).

888-438-7301 called and left voice mail:

"This is Jordan Michaels calling from EAS. We are calling about an extremely delinquent matter that is being handled in our office. Please call 888-438-7301 that we can assist you in resolving this matter."

That's pretty vague. Even a debt collector would say something like "this is an attempt to collect a debt."

Sorry, but failure to properly ID yourself and the name of your company with an address, pretty much means that it's a scam.

You want to give us a physical address for this group you work for.   I'm showing Buffalo New York, but there are other groups with teh acronym "EAS" doing the same debt-scamming thing at other locations.  Which one are you with ?
