This is Jordan change from EAS. Very important we speak with you. Have a file that's been placed in our office with your name as a security number attached. You can reach this office at 888-438-7301. Again that's 888-438-7301.

Seems to me that a legitimate debt collector would identify the company they are calling from and give there name. Also, would ask for the person they are looking for and discuss the account only after they mail you collection letters explaining the debt owed and to whom.

Yup.  That's a debt scammer's opening move.  Ignore and block the calls.  As I recall EAS has a bad rep on this site.

One of the tricks they use is to call your family, friends, neighbors and/or places of employment (past or present or both) to create panic and embarrassment so that their intended victim calls them and they can scare that person into paying their extortion money.  They often call people that have never even been associated with you because they get erroneous information off of the internet.

    Not falling for it
Left a message and said he was calling from EAS and that my phone number and social security number had been referred to their office.  I was to immediately call them.  I did not.  I do not have ANY overdue or delinquent bills.  He never once said my name or who he was calling in his very detailed message.

    Another irritated person
I also received a phone call message from "EAS" by Jordon Michaels at my workplace and they wanted me to call back as they had a "file" with my social security number and needed to reach me immediately.  I was suspected that it was incorrect so when I called back I did NOT give them my SSN and when I asked for Jordon they put me on hold and quickly said they were trying to reach Regina Meadows - which is NOT my name; so I did not give them my name or SSN...I believe they are a SCAM!!

Sounds like maybe you work for them. They cannot garnish wages. They cannot legally deny you info for what they are trying to collect nor the name of their company and info. This has scam written all over it. Maybe you got called by the legit company and these people got called by a copy cat scammer. Sounds like you got to much time on your hands ...accusing others of being broke debtors ...especially when you yourself were supposedly called by the same company for the same reason. Look in the mirror before calling names and making accusations. Don't try to expose others skeletons when yours have been in the closet too😂😂

And you’re an illiterate dumb ass who obviously works for this bottom feeding company. I can’t wait to sue them based on a voicemail that they just left me that violated 2 federal laws on collection practices... and ironically I just won $21,500 in a law suit with another collections agency who did the exact same thing and was also stupid enough to leave it on a voicemail.
