- TammyThank you S Harper for posting that number. I just noticed the same thing on my Bank of America account. I called the number and was disconnected right away, no ringing at all. I then called the number you gave 1-888-403-2136 and spoke to a live person who processed the refund in the exact way you stated. I will be calling my bank as well though just to make sure. Thanks again for your post.

- Shandha W.I also had this same charge appear on my account. I just called 1-800-403-2136 and spoke with someone (Alison Grant) who supposed to refunding my money back within 10-15 day. She asked for my name as well as my email address. She couldn't provide any additional as to what this company was selling and wouldn't provide a ref. number either. Best wishes and I hope that this helps!

- MattI got the charge too. My bank has disputed it and sent me a replacement debit card. From everything I've gathered this started happening just in the last week or so. So everyone should report this company asap. I'm sure there is hundreds if not thousands of people who have been hit by these people but don't even know it.

- MattBy the way DO NOT! call the customer service number mentioned above! The last thing you wanna do is provide a company that stole from you with more personal information. Any unauthorized charges to your bank account can be disputed by your bank and resolved right away. I REPEAT DO NOT GIVE FURTHER INFORMATION TO THESE THIEVES!!!

- Rich| 2 repliesI also just saw a charge for 38.99 on my account dated 7/12/2010. And have called the number and the call keeps dropping, have left message with my bank to figure out what I need to do next. Don't know what this charge and I don't know how they got our info to do this
- Lisa replies to GinnOMG! Just got charged 38.99 from DWL and bank could not research and the number was bogus so I put the number in YAHOO and came up here! Thank you so much for telling me about this scam! Now I know what to do!
- Matt replies to Rich| 1 replyyou have to go into your local branch and print out a copy of your online bank statement. tell them this charge was completely unauthorized and you would like it to be disputed. they will cancel your current debit card and reissue a new one. That's the only way to do it. if your account was over drafted by this transaction the bank will get the over draft fee from dwl and they will lose money.
- Lacie1382 replies to MattWe also saw the charge on our checking account JUST NOW! I can't believe this! Same phone number where they deducted 38.99...it's going to cause our account to overdraft tomorrow...how in the he'll does this happen? We have bank of america, too!!!! We're going up to the bank first thing in the morning! Who are these DWL people?????
- EarlineI have a charge that was taken out of my account for DWL, which I don't know anything about. I told the Bank before it was paid but they said it couldn't be stopped but they will file an investigation. With all the complaints I have read how can a fraudulent scam like that continue and never mind the customers word about their money the bank pays because i told them before they paid.
- Lisa replies to Nicole CI am not a BOA customer and this happened to me so everyone beware!!!
- CJ| 1 replyOk this happened to me too and ive filed fraud with my bank but i was also still trying to figure out how the hell this happened to all these different people with different banks all with in like less than a week long period......so i just have a question, might sound stupid but please respond anyway because i am just trying to get to the bottom of this so......Did any of you guys buy tickets for warped tour online? cause warped tour at darien lake was on july 14 and the tickets cost 40.00$ when purchased online, and all the fraudulant purchases where under 40.00$, and that seemed kinda weird.....maybe it was just a coincidence for me but if anyone else has purchased warped tour tickets online within the last week or so please respond ASAP.
- geri replies to sharperI read all the complaints regarding this #.Yours happened just the way mine did, contacted my c.u. and did the same thing, they will be replacing my card as well. We have the same dates and info as well as the $ amt.
- matt replies to CJno I didn't buy any concert tickets. I bid on an ebay item and payed my credit card.
- JohnnyThis is a definite fraud...I got a charge appearing on my account for $39.87 from DWL...It was apparently done on Wed, July 13 at 3:14pm, while I was not even anywhere near a computer to do anything online. I contacted my bank and placed a fraud charge report. I Called the FBI and they told me to make a report with my local police dept and then make a report with the FTC 1-877-438-4338.
Waiting on the police right now, and once I have the report with them I am reporting to the Federal Trade Commission.
FYI. Every time you call the 1-88-438-9250 number calls get dropped automatically, which must mean they ran the operation for a week and have moved on....
DO EVERYTHING POSSIBLE...contact the police and FTC immediately. - DMAMade a couple other purchases with credit card then a charge for $41.42 Canadian appeared on credit card from DWL membership. Found this site and called my credit card company told them what happened, they will reverse it and did not block my card yet but if it happens again to call back. If this happens to you call right away!!
