- Westside of town replies to PAININTHEAZZDon't Answer UNKNOWN CALLER . There is no law or rule that says you have to answer any phone call. Any unwanted numbers on your phone or cell phone just ID it as DO NOT ANSWER. > annoying phone calls are just that. Hey we got rid of our hard line phone, only have cell phones now. What a relief that I can control my calls that I want and don't want with the cell phone.

- EvFancyI have had 2 calls from these people in the past 3 months; both times they left voicemails on my cellphone. I have never had a student loan or a payday loan; my credit is impeccable. Does anyone know if these people report to the credit bureaus that they're attempting to reach me & I won't respond??

- LeanneProgressive Financial is a debt collector from a check cashing or loan place. They called me on my cell then turned around and called my work. And if you held on you would go to voicemail. The trick is...If you did a payday loan or a short term loan with a check cashing place call the check cashing place and ask them for their corperate number. If you paid the loan through an ACH release from your bank accout, be ready to show proof! And under the Debt Collection Debt Act they cannot bother you anymore. But you would need the company's name and number. Write the company and state the Debt collection act. They by law have to leave you alone!!

- Matt replies to JessicaThey are a collection agency- they are licensed and regulated by the Arizona Department of Financial Institutions. File a complaint with them and your state's Attorney General.
Also, feel free to file suit against them for harassment and violations of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act. - Employer replies to Guytano Parks| 4 repliesHonestly, If you owe the money you need to pay it. I can relate to how annoying these calls are but I tell you what.... Not paying them off effectively seals your credit worthiness. Just hold on the job you have right now because 90% of companies run a credit check and, the doors to my corporation is closed for somebody who intentionally does not want to pay their debt.
Good luck in your future - ChrisI just started getting these automated calls from this number. Unsurprisingly they are aimed at some guy I have never met and do not know, whom I frequently gets wrong number calls for him.
This isn't the first time I've gotten harassed with endless automated calls meant for this person either. However, that previous flood of automated calls was ended in the same manner this current one will be if it continues.
For those of you who are fed up with these calls, do what I did. Keep a record of the calls, what the messages were about and what actions you took with each call. Then with this information in hand, report the number/business to the FCC (which can be done online if you find that easier).
After I reported the previous company that harassed me with automated messages I quickly stopped receiving calls from them all together. About a week or so later I received a very nice letter in the mail from the FCC to let me know that they had looked into and taken care of the problem. ;)
