This company called me and asked for my ssn before even telling me why they were calling.  I said no way will I tell u that without knowing why you r calling. They asked for my name and shortly after they said there's no record of my name in their system. I think it was a load of crap to get my ssn. Don't trust progressive financial services.

I just started receiving calls from these idiots.

i live in phoenix, i will go down and kick their collective [***] if they don`t cease and desist.
The person they are looking for isn`t known to me, don`t know how they got my number but i may have to change it to get these [***] off of my back.

Do you think that I don't want to pay my bills or something.  When I have to choose between my electric bill, water, gas for my car to get back and forth to work and paying some stupid medical bill that is jacked up 10 times the actual cost what do you think I am going to choose. Geesh!

Actually, thats not even close to statistically true at all. Why do you tell people that? I work in the credit industry. And re read the initial post from the person you are lying to, he said that he does NOT owe the debt.....

I just received a call from "Arturo" from Progressive Financial.  He asked for the last 4 digits of my husbands social security number, then for his date of birth.  When I refused to give him this information (DO NOT EVER GIVE THIS INFORMATION OUT TO AN UNKNOWN PARTY!), he stated that I must not be the wife.  Yeah right!

These people are morons! They called and asked for Richard Bone. I kind of snickered a little and said there's nobody here by that name. She asked if I thought that was funny and I said yes, sort of. Then I asked who's calling? She asked if I was Richard and I told her no, this is Billy Bong (my real name) and she said "and my name's Mona Lisa". ...Ok, what can I help you with Mona?
She said "I know you're Richard Bone and you need to pay this debt and I need your charge card to settle this account immediately"!
WHOA, wait just a minute. I'm not who you asked for, remove my number!!!  Click.
I just hung up on her, now going to block her number. Must be a scam.

I kept on receiving calls on my home line from 888 441 5024, til I got fed up, of them not leaving messages and answered, they were looking for my wife from whom i have been separated for three yrs and I was informed they were trying to collect a debt, I contacted my wife and she called and was told I had called them to inquire the status of her account which is a very unethical and unprofessional wway to conduct business..I talked to James Wilson Jr.

They called on my phone for my son- who has never had ANY debt, doesn't have a license, hasn't gone to college, etc. All of the listed reasons for trying to get people to give them their information are in no way pertinent to my son. When we refused to give them his SSN and address they became irate and said it was illegal for them to talk to a third party, even though my snows there and gave permission for me to help him through the call. I told them it's illegal to scam people and to never call my number again. He didn't like that. Blocked him on my phone from both the number they called from and also the number they asked my son to call. I told them that if this was valid, that they needed to verify OUR information with US, not the other way around.
