When I called 888-445-8787 back, the recording said, "Thank you for calling the Lupus Foudation.  This call may be recorded."  I hung up.

If this is some collection agency hiding behind a charity's name, I'm sure they're breaking some law.

I've got about 3 non profit organizations calling me every other night or so asking for donations. I am on the DNC list as well.

So you guys know, non profit organizations do not apply for the do not call list. Ive tried very nicely asking to not be called and to be removed from their list but it doesnt work, and I've tried multiple times. Every time they call, I call right back and ask to be removed. It doesnt work, and its been going on for 8 months now.

These corporations spam my email address, they spam my mailbox with junk mails/papers taking up space from the real bills and important letters (I have a small mailbox), and now companies can call your house. Amazing. Leeches.

this is Lupus Foundation.  Call them and they will remove your phone number from their list.  They were really nice about it.

It's definitely something fishy? Why would the Lupus Foundation need to record their calls. More likely it is collection agencies trying to get information as to who owns various phone numbers in their search to locate debtors.

Why does my phone number merit such attention?

What part of STOP CALLING are you people failing to understand?  You have called here no less than 4 times in the past 4 days.

Each and every time, we have stated quite clearly and politely that we are not interested in your solicitation.  

Calling repeatedly, after our desire not to be called can only be seen as counterproductive at best and outright stupid at worst.  What will you achieve by continuing to call here?  Do you believe you will wear us down and we will donate out of sheer resignation to your relentless intrusions?  This will not happen and will only harden our resolve to NEVER donate to whatever your cause is.  Is there no mechanism in place to indicate a person may really, actually mean what they are saying when they asked to be removed from your list?  If that question is true, then I certainly would never donate because that would show a lack of proper accountability at even the most basic business operating levels.  If you can't even maintain a database for those attempting to opt-out, heaven knows what happens with the donations once they come in.

Time to rethink the business plan.

I have been receiving unauthorized calls from 888 - 445 - 8787. I will be reporting them to the appropriate authorities for further investigation for these ignoring calls.

No message has ever been left. They just keep calliing and calling. When I finally do pick up sometimes, no one is there!

It is the Lupus Foundation asking for cast-off donations, not money.  It is not a collection agency.

They call us all the time because we give them stuff.  Do Not Call list is not applicable because they are a charity.

What I do with theses calls is answer it and then say hold on and put the phone down and walk away.

I am as of today receiving  unauthorized calls from 888 - 445 - 8787 . Caller Id reflects them as unavailable,why? I am not interested in their business or product and want them to immediately stop attempting to contact me as I am going to promptly report them to the appropriate legal authority that will further investigate this matter.

Its LFA -- Lupus, so they say, wanting donations.  Not credible and not professional, and may not really Lupus!

Don't give anything to organizations that calls constantly.

I don't answer the phone when I don't recognize the calling number. These people call just after 7PM every night, and you'd think that someone would have the intelligence to realize that this number doesn't answer, so lets not call it anymore.

Calls here WAY too many times. Won't take no for an answer, refuses to remove you from their list, doesn't listen to a word you're saying, and is basically annoying the hell out of people.

If I were inclined to donate, it won't happen now, and would never happen with this organization.
