Receive calls from this number. We never answer calls from unknown numbers. Also  never donate to outside charities.

Next time I will have to try to ask these people to put my number on their do not call list.

They called again today and I asked to be put on their do not call list. I realize charities are not covered by the DNC, but if a charity calls & I request not to be contacted again, they honor that request.  We will see what happens.

It appears to be a scam. The Lupuspickup.org website is registered to apogeeretail.com (David Kloeber). That company, AKA Unique Thrift Stores, owned by Dave Nash Kloeber Jr. in Minnesotta collects "free clothing" around the USA and then sells it for a profit. Great concept huh? Unfortunately, it appears that very little or none of the money from profits goes to charity. Although Kloeber is reportedly worth $200 million. There is no record of any charitable gifts in the DC metro area by apogee.com. Kloeber was reportedly linked to African conflict diamonds. Google him.

Even if this is actually the Lupus Foundation, I would not donate to an organization that finds it necessary to call people at home. Especially more than once a month.

Today I decided to answer in the hope of requesting that the put my number on their don not call list.  I heard nobody and after 3 seconds I ended the call.

Angry, if you want them to stop you have to call them and ask to be removed, it would be better if you got the mailing address and put in a written request.
Most of the time these are hired call centers and do not care if you request to be taken off, but writing the actual agency helps. If these charities knew how many of us stop giving donations because of the constant annoyance of call centers they would be stunned, what a waste of donated money!

None of us do but if you think you are requesting removal you have the wrong place, this is an information forum where people go to share information on annoying or scam phone calls, that is all it is.

People write here in all caps or demand to be off the list as well as announce they are on the DNC, and they do not realize that this is an  information sharing site with suggestions on how to get calls to stop (only suggestions) but it goes no further, we all wish it would be so easy.

We are regular folks getting same annoying calls.

Solution: Don't ever answer calls you don't recognize. Genuine calls always leave a true message why they are calling you. If in doubt, don't call back. Research the phone number online before calling back.Let your family and friends know how you operate for your own safety. It worked for me. They will call, call and finally give up.

I asked the so-called Lupus people at least ten times to take me off their freakin list. Nope. The phone kept ringing. They give your number to other scammers and the number of calls just explodes. It was driving me crazy. I finally got a call-blocking machine (Digitone 10) and I now control my phone line again. They get one call. After that, they're blocked. I have the entire 888, 866, 000, and other scammer area codes blocked. Man, it is awesome to hear the phone ring once, then the digitone hangs up on them. The best present I ever got myself. Call all you want, you losers, talk to my electronic brick wall.

Apparently you are not aware that Verizon has a ten number limit on blocked calls. I am up to the limit and am still getting new harassment calls which can never be blocked.

I have contacted the FCC and FTC and even after filling out the bureaucratic paperwork they say they can do nothing.

Anyone who can invent a call blocker which can block unlimited calls will make millions of dollars. Apparently the technical knowledge is far beyond the abilities of the telephone company engineers.

Received a call from this number and then they hang up.  STOP CALLING!

remove my name from your list

I made one from a Raspberry-Pi and free software called JCBLOCK.  Google it.  It works but you need some knowledge of linux and about $75.00 for the parts.

This organization has been calling my number almost every day.  We don't answer because we're on the Do Not Call list, but I guess it doesn't work for this number.  I would like them to take my number off their list.  It's very annoying to run to the phone only to see on caller ID that LFA Pickup Service has called.  I don't answer.  I only answer if the ID shows the name & number of a friend or relative.
