Sounds like a scam to me - From NJLooked at Lupus Foundation's web site and found this information on their "Contact Us" page. I tried calling and got the message "We're sorry. Your call cannot be completed as dialed"
On their contact page:
"Schedule or Cancel a Pickup of Used Household Goods"
"If you're located in NY/NJ, please call 1-888-44-LUPUS (1-888-445-8787) or go online to lupuspickup.org to schedule a pick-up."
Sent them an e-mail to see if they can get this fixed. If someone hijacked their number maybe they can contact an authority to finally fix this.- Caller: Unavailable
- StopScamCallsI blocked this number early last year. I've donated several time to Lupus Foundation and feel they have a very just cause, but their solicitation methods are terrible. So I wrote to their 'contact us' email address several times and told the how I and how many other people were upset with them as detailed on this and other complaint sites. Never heard back from them... not even once.

- Ron K replies to NJIf you donated to them, then that would be a fact. If you "heard" that your neighbor or friend donated, then that is hearsay. Honest charities do not call without leaving a message and do not call prior to 9 AM as these people do.
