This number called my cellphone which I only use for family. No one else has the number. I didn't answer. Google says it's Hartwell Ventures, an investment firm in Las Vegas. I've never done business with them.

My cellphone, whose number is known only to me, recorded this number as a missed call at 12.53 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 29, 2010.  I did not call back before researching it.   As "mkt" above says, Google shows it as Hartwell Ventures or Global Crossroads Capital, neither of which is as yet a verified business.

Just received this a moment ago as well.  Same as above; did not answer.

I got a call from this number and don't appreciate the call, as it comes from some Investment Company in California and I've never done business with them or any other investment company. Thankfully, I missed the call while I was outside, or else I might have wasted my minutes on this call. Ugh!!

Same here, called me just now.  Robocalling Virgin Mobile numbers perhaps?

yup! guess it is robocalling virgin mobile numbers. both my phone and my wife's phone went off at the same time.

just got a phone call from the same number on Virgin Mobile also.

I called it back, it's an automatic message FROM Virgin Mobile letting people know that we can't top up from the top up screens on our phones.

Thanks for the info that it originated from Virgin Mobile, Jordan. Though how annoying that they're calling us. The alert messages they've been sending for the last couple months weren't enough? I don't want to pay them money to talk to them about how topping up works! (I have a pay as you go phone.)

I did a search on the number because another company (probably a collections company looking for someone who had my number 10 years ago) has been calling and leaving messages the last few days and I was looking for info on them and figured this was another of their numbers. Virgin Mobile really should know better!
