My caller Id showed 773-955.3348.  The woman I spoke to, Denise, did say she was from Chicago, Illinois.  I'm glad to hear that you and your spouse will not be going.  We won't be attending either.  This is very troublesome.  I did not try calling back.  I will not waste the minutes.

Same scam.  Win big prizes for fake contest that nobody remembers entering. Sit through 1hr class and get your scratch off ticket. RIGHT.  I almost went just to laugh at them and it was a good excuse for a nice drive in the mnts.

The name they gave me was "Grand Discovery" out of Asheville, NC,  Myrtle Beach and Fort Mill, SC..  

Just remember,  If it sounds to good to be true, it probably is.

received a call on my answering machine from jack rose @ 773-324-9689  stating I had won ford explorer or lincoln navitator. that I should call back at number 866-506-9066 ex 150 . Silly me called back and I got a voice mail box and left only my number for them to call back. then I decided to check them out before they called back and am I glad I did!!!!  what good is the do not call list???

I'm sure if I won something I would get it delivered to the address on my entry. Why would I have to call them. Anyway, thank you for saving me some time. I was going to call it for what the heck. Thanks for providing us with the details. Have a great day.

I got this same message too (second time). The number was from 773-324-9715, then he tells you to call the 866 number. He says: "One of the finalists of a Ford Explorer or SUV."

Do not be fooled.  This is a total scam.  They are calling everyone in the DC area.

Didn't get a call but recieved a post card from Sunshine promotions-- free airfare, free hotel, and $500.00 if all in 72 hr. So beware of mail.  I never enter sweepstakes either.  Knew my birthday was in May.  Thanks to all who clued me in to this scam.

All details as before, caller was Kimberley. Agree they seem to be calling DC residents. Concerned how much they knew of my details, home# email etc.. Will be more wary of any competitions I do enter if this info is being traded...

Just received a call - forgot the person's name, but the caller ID was from Marathon, FL - phone number 305-897-8908.  Said I won one of four prizes - all were travel related via American Airlines and one was a cruise.  Told me to come down to Sunshine Promotion's office at 905 31st Street, NW, Washington, D.C.  I stayed on the line awhile to humor him and then ended the call and hung up.

Thank you so much for the information.  I too was talked into going to 31 & K Street (Washington Harbor) today to listen to them tell me about their company.  I was suppose to get a 4 day, 3 night trip on Royal Caribbean.  I am so glad I read half of your comments.  My appointment was today at 5:45p.m.  Thanks for saving me some time.  Appreciate it!!!

Thanks everyone for the information.  We had a woman call us by the name of Debbie claiming I had won a prize and there was an expiration date on it.  When asked what the catch was, she quickly stated "no catch".  She is claiming to be verifying information and will be calling us back, but thanks to your information I'll know what to tell her to do with it.

Sunshine Promotions. Message on machine was from "Bill" but talked to "Leah Wells." Her personal line in 800- 301-3436. The original number was 866-401-4626. Same as everyone else. 3050 K Street, gave me a claim number, 2 forms of I.D. (license and credit card). sounds shady since I don't fill out forms to win cars.

Sunshine Promotions. 1-866-961-4434. Spoke w/Matt Brooks. Won one of four prizes: SUV, Trip, Cash or 32" HDTV. I don't remember entering a sweepstakes but 18 months is a long time ago. Has anyone attended the 90 minute seminar?

Sunshine Promotions LLC contracts several different marketing firms on our behalf to both mail invitations and call upon individuals inviting them to attend a ninety minute sales presentation on travel. While we do our very best to ensure that we only contract with companies that share our marketing practices, we sometimes do learn of instances such as this one shared here that are not reflective of Sunshine Promotions. At Sunshine Promotions we pride ourselves in training all of our internal staff to be professional, friendly, considerate and courteous at all times. In addition, Sunshine Promotions engages these third party marketing companies to assist us in making appointments however we never approve of being discourteous, rude or inconsiderate. When we learn of such an instance that marketing company is notified in writing and every effort is made to correct a situation promptly.

Sunshine Promotions offers the author of "Bogus Winning of Free Resort Condo" our sincere apology and if you would like to call us and provide us with your contact information, we would like to personally apologize for your experience. Never should you have had to endure multiple phone calls after asking that you not be called on again for such a promotion.

In addition, we at Sunshine Promotions would like to make it clear that for each promotional gift or item promised in exchange for attending a presentation is honored and we make ever effort to ensure that it is an enjoyable experience!

We hope that this explanation in brief assures all that Sunshine Promotions truly regrets instances such as these, but isolated instances such as this, do not reflect our company as a whole and in fact these actions were those of a third party.

Received two calls this evening from Sam Richard and then Mark Dennis -- with heavy accents.  I was given the same sales speech.  I have to admit I "messed" with them, lol.  Told them I wasn't married and they said just find someone to come with me and pretend we're a couple.  Also said my credit card was deactivated because I was broke and he said that was OK. I'm on the Do Not Call list and have lodged a complaint.  If you want to do the same go to donotcall.gov.

Legitimate businesses DO NOT need to post apologies on this site. But scammers try to run their scam on here all the time, because the TRUTH is hurting their business.

Yes these scammers at Sunshine Promotions took me for $7000 and I am on the hook for the money because I signed an non refund policy for nothing. I called the resorts , lodging hotels, airlines, and all other promos that they representee and got the same or better prices than they could provide. I too received the same call with the same information.  They are back in business in the Washington DC area.  Interestingly, the first time I "promised" to come to their event, they were representing a promotions company.  The second time, when they invited me back and I again promised to come, they were representing Sunshine Promotions--"we are now called Sunshine Promotions, and the sign has changed on the door" I was told.  Yeah right.  Like I thought they were legit up until that point.

I just wish they would stop calling over and over again.  There is nothing that sounds like it would ever work out and it would have only been a waste of time.  Hearing that it would be necessary to pay the taxes for the prizes "won" only confirmed that there was again nothing for nothing in this world.  Glad I did not waste my time.  Now it will be fun to mess with them.

I do wonder how they were able to say the last few calls that they were calling on behalf of Marriott, Toshiba and American Airlines.  I do not believe any of these organizations would be happy to be affiliated with Sunshine Promotions or whatever they are called today.
