I got a call from the same number looking for "therapists and counselors" to refer union members to. He sounded fishy. Wanted me to go online to "show" me rather than tell me the deal. I told him I did not want to do that and he got snotty, said, "Well we don't want your help then." I assume my help was going to cost me something. After reading comments here I called back and left him a message saying my number is on the "no call" list (it is) and he'd better not call back.

Yes, me too, Mike Daniels. "Liason for the State of Oregon." Creep. I commented below just now as well.

My answering machine had a message from 888-498-5381 about 3 minutes ago.  A gal named Jackie requested to call her back ASAP re: union members who needed CPA services.  I'm glad I Googled the number and found out about this scam. Thanks, fellow CPAs and other good friends!

I got a call from an Alan Chenoweth looking for a therapist to refer union members to. looked up this number but he also called from another number, 702-476-2669 and wanted me to go to his website. when secretary answered office phone, he indicated he was a union rep. for state of illinois; today he indicated he was CA and looking to find therapist to refer to though wanted to set up a contract. glad i looked up the 888# and saw it falgged as a telemarketer.

Call from Dave, wanted to refer clients to my home care company.  Caller ID was 702.421.7436, but call back number (on my message) was the 888 number.  Saw these postings, will not even call him back.

I also got a call from Sean Michael looking for therapist referrals.

I got a call from a Louis Hall, claiming to be a union liason for WA, from phone 888-498-5381. He left a message with my staff stating he is looking to refer union members to a quality optician. Well, first of all I am an optometrist- not an optician- so obviously he hasn't done his quaified research very well. And second, everyone knows union members DO NOT shop Walmart, and my practice is located in a Walmart Vision Center. Sounds fishy.

YOU ALL ARE SUCH [***].   YOU HAVE NO IDEA WHAT THE HECK YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT.

Caller named Joe wanted a counselor/therapist for union members; he said they all had good health insurance and were policemen, fire fighters who need help.  They have called before and I haven't responded.  I won't respond this time either.  Thanks for the posts.

Got a call from Mike Daniels a Union Liaison of the State of Oregon.  Said they were looking for some good life coaching for union members.  888-498-5381 x 751.

I left a message and then looked him on online and glad this was there!  He called me back as I was reading this message.  He asked me to sign onto the internet and I said I didn't feel comfortable signing onto my computer if I didn't know him.  What was this about.  He said he could show me better than tell me.  I prefer you tell me more about it before I sign onto the internet.  He said well have a great day and hung up on me.

Got a call from Ray Morrison saying he worked for the state of GA "unions" and was liason for finding counselors to see union members. Sounds BOGUS.

Ray Morse (reminds me of remorse) left a message to solicit me as a Marriage and Family Therapist to treat union members.  He claims to be the union liason for the State of California.  He also left a call number: (702) 582-6136.

Yep, got a call from Mike Daniels at this number.  Seeking counseling services for union members.  Thanks for the warning.  I dealt with this a couple of years ago; now to get rid of him.

Also in Texas if the previous statements weren't enough evidence of a scam. Same name and number.

I got a call from Sam Corby saying he represents union members and wants to know if I am taking on new clients.
I am so glad I googled the number and found all these comments.
