I filed a complaint with the FTC AND the attorney general in my state and Georgia. SUCK IT!

Terry J works for this company. They are a mom and pop collection agency that also does hair and nails.

I also got a call saying they were going to charge me with check fraud.  The agent for this LLC in Norcross Ga, is named Tammy P.Smith and her address is 2650 Bentley Rd. #3 D, Marietta, GA, 30067.  This is a debt collection company at 5664 Peachtree Pkwy Ste R1, Norcross, GA, 30092.  It is probably a one room cesspool full of human waste.  It is illegal (FTC violation) to call and threaten check fraud charges.  I filed complaints with the Attorney General of Ga, the FTC and the Attorney General in my state.  The man who called me was named James Cox and the number was 713-429-0291.  Please file complaints against these scumbags, they are breaking the law!

Beware of these jerks... They called me and left a message and said he was investigator martinez.  Yeah right, I called back and the gentleman Mr Brown, who answered the phone and told me to hold on and he will transfer to martinez, he got right back on the phone acting like him, same freaking voice yeah ok mr martinez.  I informed him that he must be mistaken and he said no is this your last four of your ss.  He informed me that they have been trying to get in touch with me since 2005.  Boy thats funny cuz I have the same cell phone number for like ten yrs now.  He informed me that NCO Financial is one of them and I informed him that I filed Bankrupt last yr and they were listed.  He said yea well we going after you cuz you cashed a check and we are getting you for check fraud.  I informed him that is b**&^$# and for them to please take me to court and that they better have all of there documentation with them cuz I sure have mine.  He didnt even ask for my filing number, jerk...I informed him that I did not cash no darn check and if it was a cash advance they automatically deposit it into an account.  Have not heard from the jerk since... If he calls me back he will be sued for harassment and they will be paying me money...Oh maybe he should call back so I can get paid for the headache :)

Called here, same scam. Used the name Investigator Kelly. When pressed to send documentation he hung up. Claimed he would have me arrested in minutes if I didn't make a payment over the phone. They are scammers, beware.

Thank you all for your comments here.  In the last five days, I have gone through every conversation with these people that you have had.   I almost went along with them because they sounded so "real."
Then I slept on the whole thing and decided "no way."  
However, please be aware that they are now located in Norcross, Georgia...and they called me from:
(888) 325-1750.
Today, I even wrote to my attorney and told him about their calls.

Another telephone number they called me from was:  (888)376-7142.
Together, maybe we can shut these people down.
I think I will also call the FBI tomorrow...as did some of you.

wow they just called me saying its a state law and good luck and they had the last 4 digit of my ssn and i can go to jail ii so glad i read this i was just about to give in I HATE SCAMMERS UGHH THEY CALLED ME FROM 804-325-1750

I too received a phone call from these people. I was told I would be arrested for check fraud as I had taken a pay-day loan in early 2003 and the checking account it was to be drawn from was closed so, that made it check fraud. They gave me no details of the loan company only that I now owed 1300 dollars! If i didn't pay them I would be arrested! I asked them why they were contacting me now if I was going to be arrested and they said that they were giving me the chance to pay my debt. I was so scared by their tactics that I gave them 500 that day and was set up on a 3 month payment plan of 285.66. I have at this point paid them i of those monthly payments and have now found out through this website that they are a scam. In early 2003-2004 had had some financial problems and wasn't sure if I really owed this so I just paid them to prevent any problems. These people pry on folks like leaches with their threats. Please be aware of this scam! Names provided to me were Investigator Martinez and Mark Blackwell.

Also, to Mr. Mark Blackwell, I have contacted my lawyer about you people, the FTC, and my attorney general in Maryland!! Now you sit there and wonder if you will be arrested!!!

these guys are low life sleazy debt collectors,,they will rob you blind..please do not give them any info also if you decide to pay them(why i don't know) USE MONEY ORDERS..if you send them a personnel check and that means they have your banks name account number routing number and your signature
now they will transfer all your banking info on a withdrawal debit form and they know how to electronically transfer your signature from your check and onto the debit form and they will take all your monies out of your account.
these low life's get paid 7.00 an hour and 15% of what they collect and being collections is way down there not making any monies they have to work about 12 hours a day to make 100.00 and i bet when these low life's goes home there are debt collectors calling them.

Got a msg saying to call investigator barnes with a case number... The person sounded unsure of what to say when I called the number back I spoke to several different ppl at first they couldnt find my information and then i was told i probably was listed as a reference and then I was told that I was going to be arrested for a payday loan from 2005. I was told to be carefully driving bc they were going to place a warrant for my arrest. I decided to call him back and get a badge number since they claimed to be investigators an never received a call back...decided to go online and just look up the number and found all these replies. They need to get lives!!!!

Called again today...last time it was from 888-376-7142 then it was from 214-306-6684 (Texas number), and today it was from 678-373-4451 (Georgia number). LMAO! It's funny how a company can move around and still have the same flippin' person calling for me. GET A LIFE!!!! My wife called and cussed out the voicemail and we are reporting all numbers....coincidence that I used to live in TX and GA....SO pretty much they've gotten on INTELLUS and found my mailing addresses and called from those areas. GOOFY A**!

Oh and BTW, we never answer the house phone anyway you idiots, so good luck with trying to scam me! P.S. I've never even gotten a payday loan in my life, because I make enough to pay my s**t on time, so if you are calling to tell me about a "bad check" I wrote, save it!

these people told me they would have me arrested for check fraud they called from 5 different numbers i called them to request paper work i checked my credit report nothing about a payday loan wasn't on credit report.

i was called by investigator cox... funny right? looking for my little brother. First of all my brother has never lived with me, he is only a 1/2 brother, second, I have never been a reference for him EVER for anything, and thirdly... mr. [***] needs to go through the proper legitimate legal procedures if he is a real investigator. I left a very tasteful message for the [***], and I dont expect to hear back from him
