I got the same text.   I'm assuming they're just randomly putting bank names?

just got a text message:

"Unverified-Sender" (9173871158) BANK-OF-AMERICA-FKMB alert 994637. Please call (888)-5143547

I didn't call or anything - obvious scam.  I get concerned the number ends up charging me some outrageous amount or something.

I got this one too. Just yesterday. Mine said it was from Bank Atlantic.

I got the same message on my cell phone supposed to be from Bank of America

I did call them however I didn't put my information out, its a poor setup and I wanted to laugh about it.

I'm assuming from all the other messages it is a phishing scheme.

Text message claiming that my "gold debit card" from "Bank of America" is locked.
I don't have a debit card from Bank of America.

I got the text for BoA, called them at my usual number, not the one in the text. They said this is a scam to steal banking info.

I got a text message today that read how everyone else's is reading...(BOA reference... I am not a BOA customer). A few weeks ago I received a text message from the same sender but they referenced Verizon.  I didn't call back either time.  #LOSERS

I didn't know so I did call back. and typed in what they said today. And I told a friend and they said it could be a fraud so now I'm freaking out.

I called and was concerned so I gave the info and now after reading this I'm pretty screwed. What should I do...

This number is a SPAM number and th4e people that own this phone number need to be arrested for bank fraud

Got a text message  from 917-931-3887.  Claiming to be a Bank of America NFBE alert. Similar call back messages as above.

I got spammed by these scammers on my Verizon mobile today claiming that my Bank of America card had been locked and I need to call and verify the number.  Thing is, I don't have a Bank of America card.  So, I called the number several times and entered invalid card numbers in an effort to tie up their machine.  It automatically hung up after three attempts.  Then I called in and entered a fake number, then when the machine said, "If it's correct press 1, if not press 2" -- I just put the phone down and let it ask that question for hours.  It continually asks the question in an infinite loop.  I called on two lines and got two of them going.  If everybody that got spammed will do this then it'll eventually overload their machine and nobody will be able to call in.  I recommend doing this only from your home phone.  Otherwise they'll have your cell and you'll get spammed to no end.

You need to cancel your card immediately.  Why do people fall for these scammers?!!!

They don't know which bank you use.  They're indiscriminately texting everybody that they can spam.  I don't use BOA and still got the message, so don't be worried.

There has to be an audit trail.  The authorities need to end their charade immediately.  Can't be too hard to find out who the number is registered to.

Received this text earlier today and I have never been a Bank of America customer.
