It's a call from Collection Corp. representing American Express.

called saying it was a legal matter for my son.  would not identify himself, was very rude. referenced case number

They must be changing their tactics.  I got a message from this number on caller ID today.  She was laughing and just left message to call Angela at 888-524-4075 and left reference #.

Well here's a new one! They called one of my neighbors and asked them to give me the message to call them. It's not enough that they harass our home, now they are harassing the homes of my neighbors??? This has to be illegal!

I recently took over a cell phone contract that was under my Father's name thus red flagging me as a "contact."  Now the collection agency continues to pester me.  Their messages are usually cryptic indicating that they have "time sensitive business information."

They claim to be a collection agency for American Express but not sure.   I paid Amex directly and they still keep calling me.

caller, very rude,she's with american express, looking for some guy with the name of michael, I have no idea who this guy "Michael" is. Called Tel # but is always busy. Want to tell her what I feel , I feel it's a harassment, my Tel # is on the Do Not Call LIST.

I proposed Micheal send a letter - if my neighbor wanted to talk to 'Micheal', my neighbor would call Micheal.  (Logic, right?)

I think this is an additional form of peer pressure and embarassment the collection agencies use to pressue the debtor.  I can think of no good reason I would want to destroy good relations with my neighbor just to help out some rude collections agency.  ??

Got a call from this number claiming to be with American express and trying to confirm personal details with me. It was obvious to me she was just calling all the names like mine in the phone book hoping I'd be the person she was after (at another address).

Got a call from them today asking about my ex-husband (divorced 5 years now). They used a name for him that he never used on any credit application during the time I knew him (it was technically his first name, but he always went by his two middle names), and they contacted me via a name that he never knew me by. Very, very odd indeed! Has a phishing feel to it.

They keep calling me to try to get in touch with my neighbor, whom I barely know. They are nasty and refuse to stop calling. The FTC said to get a name of the company and address and send them a cease and desist letter, if that doesn't work, they will get involved. Does anyone know their name and address?

When I spoke to these people last week, I specifically requested they no longer contact me by phone and to please provide something in writing.  Today, I get a phone call from them.  I don't think that it legal since they are a third party collection agency.

well just to correct everyone if you pay your bills you wouldnt be wondering why there doing those things expecially holding a prestigous card i mean all of you people sound like there wrong for calling maybe you should look in the mirror thats a job there doing and your making it hard for them to do there job becuase you dont want to pay hahahaha wow not to make any one feel small but it wouldnt hurt to explain your situtation and request a brief payment program i called an advised them of my situation and letting them know i plan on paying the debt off but right now my financial situation is terrible they understood i owethem 34,786.92 and im paying 1243.00 a month with no fee's and my interest is lowered to 5.9% from 30 !!

yea i just read your blogg they were rude in the message but once i called they were ok people i mean i told them whats been going on i owe 8263 and im paying 679 a month for 6 months they have a agressive approach but they mean well

I am getting calls on my cell and home number to call them back at 888-524-4075 and speak with Angelina Cate.  I want these calls stopped aas I do not know who this person is.

This Company has been calling for 2 years don't have a card with them, never had, they don't have my social in there system, and nothing is on my credit report with them.  They hang up when I try to get information to get them to stop calling me I'm not the person their looking for

They played dumb when I told them the person they were looking for does not and has not ever worked for our company after they have called several times.  Today they finally left a phone number so I took it just to find out who they are and asked them not to call anymore as the person they are looking for never has worked here.  They asked me to give them a message.  I said I would only because I want them to quit calling here.  They are rude.  The next time they call we have our recorder ready so we can use it for a Federal Trade Commission complaint.

I called one of the rude people approx. 5 times today. You should have heard her voice the last time she answered. Just keep calling them and they will stop calling you.
