My Dad keeps thinking he'll get money for nothing so signs up for all these lottery scams through the mail--he now gets 6 inces of mail EVERY DAY!!!  He had all these calls from Jamaica on his home and cell phones and when he moved in with us, gave our number to Publisher's Clearing House who has sold our address and phone number to all the FRAUDSTERS in the WORLD...

We saw an ad for a Panasonic 6.0 PLUS phone at Big Lots, which BLOCKS calls for you--I have successfully blocked Jamaica and just now blocked 888-555-1234.  We got this phone after being awakened 2 days in a row at 6:00 a.m.  We had to sign up for Caller ID with our phone company but it's worth it as we get 4-6 calls a day from various numbers who don't leave messages--the perfect indication it is a call we don't want to deal with.

a lady called telling me that she found my personal info was on a public web and that she wanted to speak w me i told her that she was crazy and that i didnt have time to talk to her and she said she was going to call me back this people need to put in jail they are doing wrong some idiot might do it but alert people wont this is stupid!

I received a phone call from this number. When I tried to call back it would not connect. They called again and asked for all sorts of personal information which I did not provide and then she become very angry.

Today I received two calls from this company. The first time there was a long pause when I answered and an automated voice told me to hold while my party was reached. I assumed it was a telemarketer and hung up. About twenty minutes later I got another call from the same number only this time there was a woman on the other end of the line. She told me that my bank account information had been made public and that it was posted on a website. I was immediately suspicious as I'm very careful with all of my private information and didn't see how it could have been compromised.  So I asked her which account it was that was made public. She told me that to find that out she would need the routing number to all of my accounts and would then be able to make the public ones private. I refused, telling her that I didn't feel comfortable giving my private information over the telephone and that I would go to my bank and sort it all out there. She sounded disappointed but told me that was fine and to have a nice day. Five minutes after that I called the number back to see what company would answer and the number came up as out of service. DO NOT give these people any information. It's a SCAM.

My Dad got a call fromm this number today stating they were with NATIONWIDE SECURITY,and that he paid a company with a check and his check surfaced on the internet and his bank account was compromised. I immediately was suspicious and started questioning this lady and asked why the bank didn't call? She said the bank doesn't have time to call and so they do the calling for them! I was getting hot under the collar and really suspicious but my Dad fell for it, and went ahead and gave her his banking info, much to my objections! I got online with this phone number and was brought to this site. So I immediately showed my Dad and we immediately called his bank and and had his account put on loss/lock hold for suspicious activity. We then went down to the bank and closed his account and opened a new one, leaving only enough money in the old account to cover an outstanding check. My Dad told me he was sorry for not listening to me, and now understands the danger he placed himself in. We also tried to call this number back after we got home from the bank and got the recording that you can't not reach the number you have dialed! Such a shame...tsk tsk...because I really wanted to give them a good piece of my mind about how sick and [***] they were for preying on the elderly who believe this jerks for their word being the truth! They will get what's coming to them~turn abouts fair play!! IDIOTS!

The callers claim to need my bank information in order to remove information off a public computer.  The calls are getting on my nerves.  I have also been getting these call since 2010.  They are from different numbers, but they all have personal information and phone numbers trying to get or verify bank information.  I have received calls from 315-294-9471 claiming to be a law office and threating to arrest me for a bill I do not owe.  Why am I being targeting by these criminals?

Just got a call. Said it was an emergency. Said he was from Nationwide. Told me that my banking information had been made public on the internet. Told me that he needed to cancell the transactions. Told me that he needed to verify my information. He has my old address. I asked him what transaction. I asked him what bank. He said all banks. I asked him what bank account is he referring to. He ended the call. I don't use my bank account information online. I pay over the phone with the card. Or I pay through the collecting entity's website.

Yesterday I received a call from this number and was given info that my bank account info was on the internet.  The woman who called was very short and had a nasty attitude.  I asked what the account number was and what bank it was with.  She told me she would tell me that later.  I was very suspicious and finally after yanking her chain and giving her no info I hung up.

My father-in-law is on the scammer list. These people just called him and tried to confirm his checking account numbers, reporting that his info was listed on the internet. We get lottery, sweepstakes, and mail from all over...along with calls from Canada and Jamaica. I am sick of having to tell him that he is not winning real money. It crushes him. There is a special place in Hell for these criminals.

she had better beleive u  they get that info and can drain ur account electronically...change bank account numbers at the bank  ..i tried to do something about that number but cannot because it is not a good phone number....the only thing verizon told me is not answer the phone or change phone numbers....u know what i did today?? they called again and i gave them a blast from a bicycle horn...thats what all ya should do   a whisthe or anything that hurts the ears.....

1 800 555 1234, is not a good phone number..do not talk to these people they are scammers after your bank info..they told me they were from chase bank fraud division and gave a name...i checked and the name they are using is a fraud manager at chase bank..but it is not the real person ,they are just using his name and a well know bank. to get people to give out bank info..they will drain your bank account if u give out ur info...BEWARE  DON'T DO IT

My 80 year old Father received a called from a man at this number, and the told him there was a problem with his bank account. Well he proceeded to ask for my dads bank account number and needless to say my dad told him, he must be crazy and hung up the phone. Dad called the number back several times and was unable to get thuough.6/3/2001

MY GRANNY GOT A CALL AND IT WAS A WOMEN AND THAT GRANNY WON 1.5 MILLON DOLLARS MY GRANNY THOUGHT WAS REALLY GETTING SOME MONEY BUT THE PEOPLE THAT ARE LOKKING FOR THEM GO TO GOOGLE AND LOOK THEM UP

Got yet another call from this number, a lady named "Laura Bryant".  Funny how they can demand your information immediately, but when you ask questions, they hang up.  beware.  This is a scam!!!!

These people are scammers! they have been harrassing my 87 yr old aunt for over a month now! we have reported to police andnext step is the FBI BEWARE!!

This number called my Mom -84 living alone and identified themselves as National Security and that someone was trying to withdraw funds from her bank account.  They needed to verify her account. To which she gave information.
She called me and I entered the number in google and saw all of your comments.  She promptly closed her bank account.  Very inconvenient and unfortunately they now have other personal information.

The disabled gentle man We help  with gets 3-5 calls a day from several different #;s as well as this one.  How do we block these calls , to keep his information safe, he believes them and will give then the information.

This number is for Covance research. They call to recruit people for studies.
