Called 888-567-8688.  Automated recording offers prompts to opt-out from being prescreened from financial lenders then asked for social security number.  I hung up to google and justify the validity of the toll free number, which the Federal Trade Commission offers links to opt out from being called, complaints, etc. But I will NOT ever provide my social security number.  I'll deal with it another way.  My local law enforcement is very helpful.

Received letter for credit from PenFed Credit Union - unsolicited.  Equifax # was given to opt out, however My Score Pro came up when investigating #.  May be legit, but I’m not giving my SS# or anything else.

A total scam. Don't bother to call this 888-567-8688 number.
1. You should not send me the letter at first.
2. No way to give you my  name, address, date of birth and SSN information.
3. Just block this number.
