I get these types of calls all too frequently, so I decided to pay them back just a little. I missed a call yesterday (went to my machine), but today I caught it in time. Both calls were from The recorded message was some crap about my account being in good order, but that I should "hit 1" to lower my interest rate. So I hit 1. I got some guy who spoke English as maybe a third or fourth language who told me I was paying a very high interest rate on my outstanding balance. Wrong on both counts, but what the heck. I dumbed down my speech and told him I always like to save money. He asked for my card's expiration date. I gave it to him. Then he asked for the last 12 digits. I told him he must have them already, and he should read them to me. That angered him a bit, and we went around in circles for a couple of minutes. He said it was their rules, that after I gave him the number, someone else would call me within 10 minutes to tell me what my new, lower rate would be. I asked him why he couldn't just tell me the new, lower rate. That bothered him just a bit more. I told him I was getting suspicious. He exasperatedly re-explained that he was only trying to save me money. I said I wasn't sure. He sort of screamed "Not sure about what?" So I quit talking. He said "Hello?" about 20 times, then he hung up and called m e back. He asked me why I hung up. I told him I thought he did. So again we started. I asked him for his phone number and the name of his company. He told me it was Visa Card Services of Orlando, 888-577-7963, and that they were The Visa Company. I sounded impressed. So I told him (again) that he must have my card number, seeing that he has all my other billing information. OK, so at this point he rather loudly cried out the first 5 numbers of my card. I said, "That's me! See, I told you." Then he cried out a few more. At that point, I told him maybe I wasn't interested after all. Again with the screaming, "Why did you call me just to waste my time?" I told him he called me. He said that no, I hit 1 and called him. I replied (talking real slow and drawn out gets to be kind of fun) I was just sitting here and my phone rang. "That was the computer! The computer called you, not me!" "A computer? A computer called me?" "Do you want to lower your interest rate or not?" "No, I guess not." He hung up.
Two minutes later a female called me back and asked me why I didn't want to lower my interest rate. I told her I'd changed my mind, and she hung up.
All in all, this has been the bright spot of my day. Of course, I might not think it’s so funny when these clods start charging everything in the world to my Visa card.

Yeah, got the same call. The first time he called, I was trying to order food, so was distracted and gave him some information, told him to call back in 20 minutes. When he called back, I was a little more aware and challenged him on some issues. I told him that I would call him back after verifying the information with my credit card issuer, also googled the number and found this site. Glad I didn't give more information, also glad that the cc issuer is assisting me in watching the card for any fraudulent activity since I called immediately.

I instantly knew this was a scam. I am very leary of giving my card number out even if I contact a buisness myself. I kept these idiots on the phone from 12:23 pm untill 1:19 pm it was great!! I pissed off three different people! A lady named Nerzana at extension #245 called me from an unavailable #. She gave me the same bullcrap story as the other peoples comments said. I got the same 1-888#, The longer I kept the pushey lady on the line debating how i dont think I should give them my # the more pissed she became. After a while I decided to look up the # on google search and I came up with this site while I was on the phone with them (by the way thank you for the heads up!). At this time I decided to have a little fun with these scamming idiots. After asking her to give me my name and tell me what the second four #'s on my card was she got tired of being questioned, so she passed me to her supervisor. He was nice at first so I had to see how much I could piss him off also. His name was Bernardo. I asked him the same questions untill he became short and pushy. I told him I needed to confirm this call by hanging up and calling the # they gave me he told me I couldn't...Wow!! So I told him I'll just call from my other phone and could he just stay on the line with me untill they answer. He agreed. After debating with him for some time and being on hold on the 1-888# The line hung up on me, so I told him and he suggested I call back the #. But first I must give him the number to my card. So I told him to hold on. I then wrote down 16 random #'s so I could rember them, and I gave them to him. I did and kept him on the line for the whole time Oh was he becoming pissed. He decided to put me on the line with another man named Patrick he claimed to be the main supervisor all off them sounded like they had an indian accent. I said wait a minute you told me your company is based out of florida. He said yes it is. I said the trace I'm running on this number show the number doesn't have a point of origin in the united states. He said well your system must be wrong. he kept insisting that I repeat the number I gave him because they are not matching any mastercard or visa #'s .I told him he must be mistaken because I have $11,000 credit limit on it and I just bought gas the other day. This went on for a while untill I asked him for an actuall adress where I could mail a photo copy of my card. I guess he couldn't take it any more...almost an hour later and the damn guy hangs up on me!!!! I was just starting to have fun!! People DONT BE VICTOMS!!!!!!! have fun with these people PISS them off. Play games with them. Ruin their day. Dont let them hang up on you. I strung them along for almost an hour!! I bet you cant top that!! If you can keep them on the phone for longer.......I would like to hear about it......But I bet you cant!! lol

I received a call this morning from them also.  I refused to give them any information about my account when I asked if they were from Bank of America.  They said no, so I immediately asked to speak to his supervisor.  Another man got on the phone, asking me to just listen to him and not speak.  I told him to give me his number and I would call him back.  Went on the internet and found this information.  Glad I did.  They were very persistent.  Matter of fact they actually called me back twice after I hung up.  I just told them I do not give any information out over the phone.  Mail it to me and I will read what they are offering.  Thank God I did not listen to them

This is a scam! Do not give them your information! They will verify your name, address, phone number and first and last number of your credit card number so I thought it was real. They just keep asking for more and more information so I called the bank and now I have to cancel all my cards. They also called back and on the caller id it was from a different state.

Got a similar call, from Luka of Orlando, FL coming in with Caller ID "Credit Services, 978-570-2339" and gave his number as 888-577-7963, x235.  He also asked for the last 12 numbers after the zipcode.  Ended up calling me a very stupid man.  I could see him getting a little abusive, as other posts report.  DON'T BOTHER WITH THESE CLOWNS!!!

called me cold with offer to reduce rates on cards, but wanted a lot of info.  Didn't like me as didn't have much available credit and wanted me to make addtional payment to a card to "qualify" for reduced rates.  Refused.
Called state consumer protection, probably a scam of some kind, though the exact name they did not know, it was similar to one known to be a scam.
Cancelled all credit cards involved immediately on advice of card holders.  Even if this is a third party debt consolidation service trolling for business rather than just a steal your number scam, you do not want to do business with these people!

Can anyone tell me who is the phone carrier who has leased out this phone number? Some idiot phones me and he sounded Chinese or Hispanic. But he insisted that he was Italian. I said I had a small suggestion for him and when he wanted to know what it was, I told him that he should try to [***] his momma.

As you all have read, above. I called my credit card company and they told that "Link Solutions" as they call they selves, was calling to reduce my interest rate. They said dont do it! I asked to have all my cards closed and re-issued. I gave my credit card company their phone number and asked the fraud department to call...888 577-7963 and then send out a warning with statements.
I hope this gets out to you before its too late.
    God Bless you all.

THIS IS A SCAM. This is a version of the advance-fee-for-something scam where something is a grant, loan, lottery winnings, interest rate reduction, tax reduction, gift card, refund, doggie, cruise, vacation, free gas, etc., and the advance-fee is for tax, shipping, registration, insurance, secure handling, processing, etc. They may send you a fake check, may want your credit/debit card or bank account number, or tell you to wire cash via Western Union, Moneygram, etc. They can put recurrent difficult-to-cancel monthly charges or a 1-time charge on your card or bank account, and sell account info to other criminals and you'll have to replace accounts altogether. Wired-cash is irretrievable - once it's picked up at the other end, it's untraceable and gone. If they want you to call them up for instructions, they may tell you not to discuss the wire with Western Union desk clerks but the real reason is WU clerks are familiar with these scams and will warn you not to wire the money. Report to US Postal Service Inspectors https://postalinspectors.uspis.gov/forms/MailFraudComplaint.aspx , the Federal Communications Commission http://esupport.fcc.gov/complaints.htm , the Federal Trade Commission https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/ and your state AG, as appropriate.

Do NOT give info to caller. Usually do not even entertain any solicitation calls, but in this economy and the interest rates the cc's and banks are charging.....WHO doesn't want lower interest rates?  I did, however confirm cc#'s they already had, they then got very pushy when I got a little leary before I completed giving last of my personal info over phone.  I hung up and they called back from different phone.  Then "advisor" called from different phone, then when I cofirmed I did not want to use their services, he got quite unprofessional and nasty "if you didn't want to use our services, why did  you confirm you acc#'s?  We've had you acc#'s for years.  The banks give them to us."  I again confirmed I did not want them to run my info.  He was condiscending and replied "have a good day." and hung up.

Call up The 3 credit reporting companies and put a freeze on all your credit cards. It doesn't cost anything. It will cost you a few bucks to unfreeze, though, but worth it. Freezing your credit will not allow anyone, including you, to use it. Also call the issuing companies and report this and cancel the accounts. They can issue you new cards with new accounts. If you gave them your SSN, you're in a bit of trouble. Let SS office in your area know (easier than trying to call the national #) and proceed with their advice.
As far as this company, they are scammers. I often amuse myself with keeping them on the phone as long as possible without giving them any info, of course. Then, when I can't go any further, they get the AunTee speech about how, if their children, mother, father and ancestors knew that they were trying to swindle innocent, trusting people, that they'd be ashamed of them. I go on as much as I can, they usually hang up. But I once had a young man in tears and begging for my forgiveness thru his very thick Costa Rican accent.

That 406 area code number you mentioned is in Montana (the whole state is 406!:-). I get calls every few months and ask what their website address is so I can see if they're legit. I was told they don't have one. Really? I said. A big international credit card company like you doesn't have a web site? How odd, I say. Then he says in his thick costa Rican accent that it's under construction. Hmmmm. I play as long as I can until I can't no more. That's when they get the "your mother would be ashamed of you if she knew you were trying to swindle innocent people." ... I actually had a guy crying once. Click.

I have been receiving phone calls from this number for months but never answered them. Even called at 4:00 AM not too long ago. Well, i amswered it today because they keep leaving messages on my machine. A guy with very heavy accent was very pushy. He could not get specific enough for me and when I got pushy back he got hateful. I told him that I wasnt comfortable giving out that info over the phone and plus i couldn't even understand him very well. But what concerns me is that he had the first 4 numbers of one of my cards. How did he get that? I wouldn't give him any info but if does he already have enough anyway? Pretty much the same story as all they everyone elses? can anything be done about this?

Hey- Can anyone help me! These people called me today and were very rude. I had just called all my credit card companies the other day and asked if they could lower my rate, but it wasn't possible. Anyways- these people called today telling me they could lower my interest rate to below 6.9%.. and after telling me alot of the information like my name my number, where i had the card at.. my balance on the card.. i gave him the remaining #'s of my card, and the exp date. I never gave him the Security code. vyt they did ask for my zip code..After being weirded out and losing connection with them i called back the 1888 number he gave me and the lady said they were a 3rd party company and not affiliated with Visa or Master Card. the guy on the phone said they were. Now i'm upset she asked for my number to look it up in her system and she said that i wasn't in her system so he must not have submitted it.? I called and cancelled all the cards and marked them as stolen so if someone uses them they will know. I called the BBB and reported the number i guess they said someone in New York reported it in april and its being looked into.. But Now i am scared. Is there anything else i should do??  Pleaseeee HELP!!! How did they get so much information, like my first 4, my balances, my name and number!! UGH! Someone please tell me what to do, i feel so stupid!
