I called my credit card company and they told me this caller is 100% fraudulent. DO NOT give this company any information.

They will make it very tempting with a lower interest rate offer --- DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR CREDIT CARD NUMBER OR ANY OTHER INFORMATION.

They will have some information -- your zip code, your balance and they will tell you they are working for a number of different credit card companies to give good customers a lower interest rate. Their come on is that many people are closing their credit cards because the interest rates are too high.

And they will do a whole speech about not ever asking for the 3-digit security code on the back of your card. They will claim that no one can use your card without that code. WRONG.

Report them to the fraud division of your credit card or bank immediately.

Oh -- and tell them your know that they are a fraudulent company and in violation of federal and state laws. Tell them you have reported them to your bank, the police, the FBI -- whatever makes you happy. You'll get a quick goodbye.

Call their number and you'll get some music and nothing more.

actually they called me too but i didn't give any of my info.''though the had it all'' but i asked for their phone no. and i called their number myself but waited for 10 minutes silly music and found myself with a rep from thier company..and he said exactly what you wrote and he will not ask me about my CVC code or my social and nothing will be changed on my card however i gave him my account number and he said he is ''pulling the balance'' and he gave me how much i owe and my avail credit exactly as the same i have on my statement i don't know how he get it unless they really work with my bank he said ''am qualified'' and i will receive a call after 30 min from a financial adviser to give me the new lowered interest rate..after that immediately checked my balance i found it the same nothing charged on my card and after about 40 minutes i received a call from the financial adviser giving me my new rates which is less than i have already but they will take a percentage of my savings but what the hell !! they saved me money and they'll take about 400$ ''non refundable'' am not sure but the msg said that but i saved about 1,000$ not bad right !
but my advice to you people don't give your info to anyone cause i was shaking all this time and was about to cancel this account and was really feeling that they will put charges on my card but till this moment nothing charged thank God !

Glad I googled this number before I gave "Raul" my credit card number.  Very pushy, kept repeating the same information.  I told him I wanted to speak to his manager or at least someone who spoke better English.  Of course a manager was not available.  So I finally told him to hold on  a minute while I googled the number.  I read the same call back number he gave me.  Then I just hung up.

All they need is your SSN to check your credit rating and get all the information they need or they'll file a false claim with the credit companies to your info. DON'T EVER GIVE ANY INFO OVER THE PHONE TO ANYONE. If they are legit they'll already have all the info they need

I agree that fraudulant companies should be reported to various agencies like the FTC and the BBB, but unfortunately, NOTHING HAPPENS TO THEM! Those government agencies are over-worked and under-staffed, and so phone fraud, like the 888-577-7963 one, just continues to scam people without recource. Even if a government agency were to take action against these scammers, it could take months or years for the scam to be shut down. But for every scammer who goes to jail or gets fined, there are HUNDREDS of other scammers still in business.

The scammers take advantage of the fact that people are desperate to reduce their credit card debt, and are willing to take a chance on anything that sounds good. Well, the old saying is still valid: "A fool and his money will soon part company!"

I can only repeat what others have already stated concerning phone scams.... NEVER, NEVER, NEVER give any personal information to a caller. The only exception is if YOU made the call, and you can verify that the company is legitimate and has a good reputation for treating people honestly. DO YOUR RESEARCH, and chances will be better that you won't get stung!

The same people "Visa Mastercard Services" call me over and over again, sometimes as "unknown" sometimes the phone says "California" "New York", etc.  They never give me their information, but hang up when I ask questions.  I want to report them to our Attorney General, but cannot get them traced.  I have asked them NUMEROUS times to stop calling me.  Instead they mock me with telephone messages "This is our FINAL call", except it never is the final call.  I threatened one of the telemarketers and he just said that he has my address and will come after me with a gun.  HOW DO I GET THEM TO STOP - SHORT OF DISCONNECTING MY PHONE?
