Received a call left voicemail letting me know to press an option to speak with a representative and is a matter related with my name and social… just like that, sound scam!!

Calls from a local number with name not shown but representing "Coastal Capital Mediation Group", which has many complaints on BBB.  Company has a website, but sounds like a collection agency.  Caller says to call 888-585-5282.  Says they have personal information about name and social but the name is incorrect.  Sounds like scammers to me.

Today I received the same message stating having my name and social. To me this is a waste of time. Trying to collect a debt, why not mail me the information in writing. I will report to the Secretary of State here in CA.

Debt collectors are not required by law to send a dunning letter out until after first contact.  Also, I cannot fathom why you would be making a complaint to that agency instead of the proper ones.

BigA - this is scammer calling and claiming to be an organization. Ray should absolutely report this to the Attorney General & CFPB to stop the harassment.

A predatory business trying to collect uncollectible debts, that have been sold a dozen times over for pennies on the dollar. They take advantage of naive and ignorant people who are scared and don't know their rights. These are worst types of human beings alive.

Website has only been up 2 years and is set to expire this year.  They only list a PO Box in Atlanta, Ga.

In 48 states, debt collection can be attempted for eternity.  What they cannot do is sue or threaten to sue once the Statute of Limitations for that state has expired.  Yes, they don't pay very much for the debts.  I don't see how that enters in the equation here since the actual way that they are collecting is what should be at the forefront.

The number 508-297-9874 keeps calling and calling, telling me they have my personal info regarding my name and social. They tell me to call back at 888-585-5282. I finally just wanted to talk to a person and tell them to leave me the **** alone, so I tried. If you call either of these numbers, you get a recording that says person not available and to leave a message, but, sorry, messages are full. They have called and left messages many, many times over the last couple of years. I realize it's some kind of scam, but the phone calls are pure harassment.

You can tell them to leave you alone all you want. Doesn't mean they'll actually listen.

This is a scam. A lady named Sasha answers from 541-907-0006 and 888-585-5282. She stated I owed money from a credit card I had from the late nineties that I paid in full and closed. She demanded money and threatened me so I asked to speak to her supervisor and that I would like her location and she called me the b word and a the w word. Please report this scam to your Attorney General and the FTC.

It's a good thing I did a Google search because it does sound like a scam, especially with the woman sounding threatening over the voice mail itself.

This is a scam , dont pay them or give them any info. Even their website is trash.
