- Charles| 2 repliesThis 1-(888)-598-3693 is the collections department for PCFinancial MasterCard - I discourage anyone from dealing with this company as they often make collection calls on accounts that are not in arrears at all. They clearly do not have full control over their operations and I also found their various departments to have very limited communication ability.
Hope this helps. - CharlesSpent over one hour on the phone (I returned their call the same day) to be told that the department I needed to talk to was not opened on the weekend. This wasted over one hour of one of my two days off this week. In my particular situation, this call was not warranted. Steer clear of this company, if at all possible.

- Katt| 2 repliesThis is a 'toll' number that PC Financial Master Card Collections Dept. uses. This number as well as a couple other ones they use to contact when your account is even 1 day overdue as was mine. I received about 5 calls from them in one day alone. I was not answering them as I feel that my account being late one day does not mean that I'm delinquent, especially when I always pay my bill on time and more than the required amount. Legally, they are not allowed to call you any more than 3 times in a 7 day period. They call at all hours of the day and evening and leave automated messages. If they are calling you more than the legally acceptable amount, make a complaint to the Ministry with the times and number they called from. The Ministry is required to investigate all complaints and the company they are investigating are required to answer to them and could face fines or a loss of their license.

- Elle| 3 repliesI was getting calls from Oct'08 to May'09. They would leave an automated message for a certain individual to call them. Automated calls escalated to people calling looking for this person. Next I was getting calls 3 times a week to 2 times per day!!!! (This person does not live at my place. But apparently this individual has been using my phone#. After sleuthing on the internet. I found this person and their phone #. Informed President's Choice to no avail as they did not believe me. The phone# was off by one #. The person that entered this individual's application in PC's system must have accidently entered the last digit of the phone# incorrectly. I have spoken to managers and all the callers to correct PC's mistake but they keep calling!! Anyone have advice to stop this harrassment. The calls have returned this week and I am at wits end here....

- MelThey call & when i'm asnwering, they hang up, without say nothing at all.
- SheriIt's PC Financial collections, they will call you even if you are only 1 day late paying your bill. And they call super early in the morning (just after 8 am) EVERYDAY until they get their payment. And even then it's a few days after that. When you answer no one speaks unless you sit there for a minute saying 'hello hello' i guess when their system finally kicks in. Word to the wise, if you have a PC card, MAKE SURE YOU PAY YOUR BILL ON TIME!!! these calls are VERY annoying!! LOL I think i've learned my lesson!!

- LThese people have been calling me nearly every day since September! Lately it's been getting worse, between 11am this morning at now, 2pm, I have received five phone called! Four yesterday! Sometimes they leave a message for this person to call back about their account, I don't even know this said person! I don't have an account with them! It is getting very irritating!

- RThe folks at president's choice have been calling me looking for someone else for the past few years. I've spent hours on the phone with supervisors, etc. trying to get them to remove my number permanently. Sometimes it works for a few months, but then they're calling again, sometimes as much as 3 times a day for weeks at a time, and often ridiculously early. Borderline harassment at this point.

- Gordon MorrisI have my cell phone on the DO NOT CALL list and I dont' have a PC financial card so this is pure harassment and will be dealt with by them or ME. I did call in and they asked for my number and I said no. I only told them the number to stop calling which they said they would remove my name. I think someone in my family has a PC card but that shouldn't affect me.

- KatherineThey have now farmed their services out to India and the person on the other end doesn't understand English. I tried to explain that my payment will be late because I lost my job. Moron says"you pay today?" I told him I have literally 0 dollars in my account. Moron:"how much you pay?" I told him I was expecting money in 10 days and would call them as soon as I made a payment. This was on Thursday. Moron says: "ok I call Monday" Not only can they not comprehend English, now they can't count! Today is Monday and they have called 5 times in less than 5 hours!

- Kath replies to KattSeriously they called me 5 times today. And I made a payment last week. They are annoying. They asked me when I could make another payment and I said on the 30 of november which is 5 days and they said that it was too far. The agent on the phone was extremely rude and ahad nop phone manners at all!!!!!
- mentoI noticed a credit on my account that i clearly didn't deposit so i called president choice and asked them what to do. The PC financial representative on the phone explained to me that any funds creditted on the account belongs to the account holder. I bluntly explained that I did not know where it had come from but she assured me that it was mine. I spent it like any other struggling university student would have done and found pc financial calling me a year later telling me that I owed the money back plus a year worth of interest. As this was an unfair situation, I refused to pay the interest. After countless phone calls and time wasted (over 100 hours), I was sent to a collection agency. I am still in this situation but refuse to pay them even the money that was originally deposited in error. The way I am looking at it is that I've been harrassed by this company, they've ruined my credit, and now they want the money back that I would have happily given them if they would have just asked for it back without trying to squeeze me for a year worth of interest. If anyone (lawyers) would like to take on a case like this to publically exbarass this company, please contact me at johnnyclemente@hotmail.com. I will pay more than they are asking for to show this company that not everyone in life will fold to them.

- RyanI've been getting calls daily from 7:45am until 8pm or later, and three or four times between. Honestly, I haven't been paying my minimums, because I lost me job, so I know they have a reason to call ... but NOT this much. As stated above there are legal restrictions as to how often they can call and five times a day is waaayyy too effing much.
I only got the credit card because this [***] sales lady kept coming into the Loblaw store I worked at and harassed me to sign up every friggin shift. PC can go to hell. Except their Decadent cookies. Mmmmmmmmmm.- Caller: PCMastercard

- JessI've been getting phone calls from them for a while. (I got the card before I started school when I was still working, and PS their insurance is fraud, don't give them ANY money... I didn't get protected because it took so long for EI to kick in) I keep telling them the same thing, I lost my job, I'm not even in school anymore and I don't get enough EI to even pay rent let alone food. I offered to make a small meager payment of $13.00, it's something right? Nope, they wouldn't accept it... and they still keep calling me and making me feel like [***]. I tried my best and they still call me everyday at 8 am.
And mento I had a similar experience, they upped my limit by another 1000 without telling me and I didn't realize it till I went to buy something. I havent been buying anything yet I got over drafted many many times. As soon as I get a job and pay this off I'm cutting the PCMastercard up.... hell even *shudders* MBNA Student Mastercard is nicer... atleast they told me all my avenues and told me about insurance I didn't even know I had on the card so they can make the payments for me... now THATS service!- Caller: PCMatercard
