This number kepts on calling my hp...My debts are already past the statutes of limitations and still this threat of bringing me to court makes me laugh..First of all, their time is limited... they've been calling for almost 2 mos. next need my address to send the documents.. c'mon if you are a Law firm... you already know my address and my ssn.. this is a scam. I am thinking of filing a complaint at my Attorney Generals Office.

My husbands Aunt called me today with phone # 888-734-2035 and a complaint # and that he said he was a process server and that I was being sued and needed to call him back. I knew right away it was a scam but called anyway to stop them from calling my family. Well an Ann Schultz got on the line and started talking about some credit card debt from almost 8 yrs ago, which the statute of limitations in my state in 3 yrs, and that I should have been served already. Told her nope not been served haven't gotten anything in mail about this debt either and then asked her exactly what is THIS call about then asked her to stop calling my family members. That's when things got ugly, yes I regressed in maturity about 20 yrs hey it happens! I guess I said it in too firm a voice cause she said "I'm not your child, do not talk to me that way!" So I said it again and she informed me that this was a "Law Firm" and they're not here for customer service and hung up on me. I called back and got Chad Morgan, who started off nice but he didn't like that I knew the law, cut him off and asked for him to send me something in the US Mail and once again to not call family members. Oh, Ann Schultz said I owed $6900 but Chad said I owed, and I quote, "Around $18,000 - $19,000 somewhere in that range." So he didn't actually know how much I owed, hmmmmm! Anyway after several shouting matches, me calling this a scam, multiple hang ups on their part, and him flat out telling me he would call whoever he wanted when he wanted and didn't have to send me anything and that he had more info that just my name number birthday ssn (guess that was a threat), he finally asked $3600 to make this go away!!! Anyway the point is this is a major scam!! I get calls like this once a year, the last one was from Morgan Taylor at Sanderson Blaine and Assoc. in fact it was about the same debt, huh!

This group has a history on 800notes of debt scamming.  Do not give them the time of day.

Just because a voice on the telephone claims you owe a debt does not mean you owe it
If a voice on the telephone claims you owe a debt:

1.    Demand the person give you his or her name, company name, and address
2.     Demand a debt validation letter by US mail.  E-mail no good.
3.    Do not pay  the collection agent or anyone else a  DIME  until the debt is validated.

Of course they won’t do this, no scammer ever will, so simply block their calls and ignore them.

If they continue to bother you, and you know you do not owe any money,  tell them that you know this is  a debt scam and that you are making a complaint to the police for extortion.  You might have to yell at the scammer and talk over him or her.  Once you get a copy of the police report and they call you again , just read out the  file number and the name of the PD or Sheriff’s office involved.   Tell them you’ll be glad to send a copy to them at whatever address the jack***es are working out of now.

i got same message today but the number has changed to 888-734-2035. shows up unknown on my phone and it is a woman now leaving messages called patty. she left me same message and then left ref. number

Same ph number it lady name change to joe Coleman of Franklin west associate. She was able to get three phones number n leave same message as UNKnown why unknown crook go to hell

They change phone num to 888 7342035 n lady name is joy Coleman of Franklin west asso, every words are the same on my message from UNKNOWN

Never have I EVER represented MYSELF as an attorney. Any person we contact has a legitimate and legally owed debt within our firm.

So prove that you're legitimate! Simply give us your firms legal name, valid physical address & the names of the states that you're licensed, and bonded, to do business in. We'll be waiting for your response....

I got a call today at my new job, they said they were from franklin west and associates (888-549-7919)  told the lady that answered the phone that i had 1hr to call them back or an arrest warrant would be issued. and the would serve me at my job so I needed to call them so i would embarrassed and interupt the operation of the office and also told her that they had hired a PI to find me.   So i called them it was from a debt back in 2007. its they said just about the same thing to me as they have to you all. the orginal payoff was 4,000 but had increased to 12,000.00 and they would sue me and get the 12,000.00. they said the reason they got my account was because I some new credit cards and a mortgage and even gave the mortgage company name. said they said I had made an agreement in the past with Wells fargo to settle for less and they could do the same thing. I told them they could not sue me because of the staue of limitation in my state which had already come and gone. he asked if I wanted to put a amount on the table I said sure 1,000.00 to be paid out he said he could not do that . he gave me amount that was supposely 40% off the principal and said I had to pay it in one lump sum they could give me a little time to transfer funds. I told him I lived paycheck to paycheck and said have a nice day and hung up.

This is a phantom debt scheme, now an Ann Schultz is calling from Franklin West & assoc, There is a law firm in Michigan but it's name is Franklin D West & assoc, the people that called me called back on an Anaheim, CA number.
We don't owe this debt, get your free annual credit report and any collections you have will be on the report.

They called me and I been paying these people for 2 months. Is this real.

I fell for it. I cannot believe I was that stupid. They had called both my stepsons also. I spoke to a Chad Mason. Same line of B.S. because I had had the card they mentioned and my SS# etc. I got scared and paid them. Is there any recourse? And I have masters degree!! What an idiot I am.

You have a master's degree?  In any case read Tamianth 's post, much better than asking someone who might not know what they are talking about.  If you used a credit/debit card, file a fraud report at your bank.  If you paid with greendot or money gram or western union, then that money is gone.  The worse news is that since you paid so easily, you will now be on the "easy" list and will get a ton more calls from both them and anyone they sell that list to.,
