we keep getting calls from this number even though we are on a do not call list

Yes. I understand that. But now they are calling and pretending to be a call from
political organizations, charities, and telephone surveyors. Then they throw their
telemarketing skills at you. I don't feel that is right.

got a call on 8-28-12 at 10:15 am, but the caller ID shows toll free number, so we just hang up on them. If this is a legitimate call from aarp, they should show aarp on the caller ID. We do not answer phone surveys, so if they want a survey they can send a paper request.

These people call too often and at inconvenient times of the day. They should stop.

AARP - pre recorded message telling me to stay on the line for a "town hall meeting" or something along those lines. I hung up. Very bizarre!

Message on CID about holding a "Town Hall Meeting" on my Medicare or some other BS. I deleted it before I listened to it all because I find so many senior scams on my phone. Thank you AARP for making my answering machine such a pain.

Decided to answer, though I don't usually & I do have the Panasonic phone with number blocking.  It was telling of an AARP  meeting at a local Sr. Center on how to avoid scam of Seniors.  Also said there would be a shredding truck there for free shredding of documents (that is a great service), but unfortunately previous Dr. Appointments will keep me from attending.  This was from Texas AARP.  

A message from a "LIVE" towm meeting (aarp) that went to my answering service and cost me fifteen (15) minutes for a recording to talk to another recording !!  Subject was SS & Medicare problems in the next twenty (20) years !!  Who cares ??
Block the number from your phone !!

Robo call from AARP

Called 10/22/14 at 10:19 am.  Caller ID showed "8886872277" with the same number below it as the calling number. Zabasearch resulted in 24 people all using this number in New York City.  My phone answered by Sentry robo call blocker which give message that we do not accept calls from telemarketers, to remove our number from their call list, and if they want to continue call to press 0. No message left.

The folks,  who wanted those 'loopholes',  made hefty donations to their lobbyists.  Did you send a donation to your?  No?  Well, there's your answer.

Junk call from AARP.  Their number is now blocked.  And we won't be renewing our membership.

Almost exactly a year after they last called me, they left the same nonsensical message that I'm now being connected to a "town hall meeting". How the heck can they have a "meeting" with an answering machine?
