- SL replies to So much for that phoneFor 11/2 yrs I have been receiving calls from India using all the toll free numbers that I trace back to India. They call as much as 10 times using different names on caller ID. Often caller ID says private payer, non available, but often times they list Premier Care. And every name of company if a number is attached I check on these complaint sites and there r tons of complaints on the Do Not Call registration. So am I. I received a threatening call also for which there is an audio tape made These calls are coming in from NY, New Haven, Ct, CA Idaho etc. Please, please be aware and familiarize yourself with area calls in which you get repeats from.
Even if you think there is nothing being done I have read that this is being worked on. These callers say they are calling from companies, however, these are fraudulent. I lost money, hacked and got into bank. They could steal your identity. My story gets worse and worse. Enough said. It is time for our government to take charge. Write your state senators or call this is ruining lives of honest hard working people. Thank you.

- 888-687-2277They don't leave a message, and I don't answer the call. Comes in often. Figure if no message, isn't legit.

- lucy| 1 replyI just got this call from Toll Free. I held the phone for a while without saying anything. The man said, "Are you o.k.? Are you o.k.?" I thought I better answer before he called 911. He said he was from AARP. I told him I was not interested and hung up.
I am a little disgusted with AARP. Hartford Insurance raise the rates a lot on people who turn 75, and United Health Care is a joke. UHC wanted to send a "doctor" or "registered nurse" to my house. Like I believe a doctor or RN would visit a private home. My Medicare at work.- Caller: toll free
- Mal replies to lucyI got suckered to answer one time because I thought they would call 911. Never again. Let them do it - I'll just give any responders their number. I get at least 5 telemarketers per day and I have the right to not answer. The Do Not Call list has done absolutely nothing. I have already blocked over 150 numbers on my phone. Disgusting!
- GaryReceived a call from this number today from a gentleman who said he was calling from AARP and that the AARP was offering it's members free internet theft protection. Wasn't sure about the validity of the caller and knew that AARP offers members reduced priced fraud protection but not free, merely told him I already had internet fraud protection and he wished me a good day and hung up. I find it odd that any organization would try to secure customers for internet fraud protection via phone, and yes, my phone is also on the no call list.

- None of your businessThis is a pshing scam. They are calling to sell a product for AARP or calling themselves AARP. Today they are selling identity protection. Theya are on a first name basis only. I spoke to Jennifer this morning who hung up on me. The second time I called them and they had an eloquent voice messaging system with an announcer type voice probably a news reporter or someone using his voice for advertising, asking questions.
I don't know who these people think they are. Send out your literature if you're promoting politics. Otherwise observe the DNC List. Calling people with your 888 phone number doesn't make you very well liked. Where are you located? What is your product. and I've noticed since I got a call from you already I also received an email address at the same time. Gosh, you wouldn't like this stuff done to you.- Caller: AARP Call Center Pshying Call

- HunterIf the call is truly from AARP, then why doesn't AARP come up on caller ID. I never answer calls that are unidentifiable.

- RoeI just received a call from this number also and it came up Unavailable also. Immediately googled it and it came up on this board and found it was AARP. Am now blocking it, would have considered answering but I normally don't anyway. Will now block number, AARP should display its name.
Just blocked it and then called it, reached welcome to AARP. Well, if they want me to answer, they have to show their name and then I will consider it. I know they are not going to see this but that is my opinion in case others feel the same way.- Caller: Unavailable
- BostonHollyYes, I too am fed up with the never ending pestering calls from AARP, I am going to block them. Many of the bills they want to protect or sponsor or support are in our, we seniors, favor, but the way the go about it is so obnoxious that I ignore them. Too many calls and not all of them are for good deeds to be done. Blocked. They know my address and email, if they really want me to get active about important topics they can send me snail mail. thanks forlks, for doing the legwork.

- ChrisThe AARP is out to make money for the AARP. If they REALLY cared about seniors, they would be working to ban the illegal tobacco drug and those so-called "electronic" lethal nicotine-delivery devices.

- Mr HaditLike previous people state AARP, Why not put your name on caller ID. You have articles in your Bulletin about phone scams, hey man practice what you preach. I am a member but I will let it lapse. When it comes to money they're just as guilty as all phone scammers.
