I do too. I counted them last week and have over 80 different numbers where they keep changing spoofed number so I don't think it is spam again

Was it Sam or Kevin with an Indian accent that you can't understand calling from Windows security to get you to access your computer so they can hack it

Did not answer, looked up the number instead and ended up here.  The companies that provide our phone service make too much money from these calls to make them go away.  These calls can be tracked back to the caller but there is no incentive to do the tracking, not while they are making money from each call.

Caller is identified by AT&T as "Toll Free Call".  Searched for this number and found a few sites on how to remove it.??! Those sites were trapped by anti-malware software Malwarebytes even though they were vetted by Norton.  Both running latest version.  In other words this number is harmful to computer.  Don't clink on any sites that purport to help remove it.  Go to 800notes instead.  I might as well say that 800notes has gotten some criticism because if you're trying to access it while using a VPN (virtual private network), you'll be blocked from the site.  So that means open it in a library or by turning off Wifi and using cell instead.  Don't turn off VPN.

1-888-727-1127 called me at work.  The menu said to push 3 if you want to be removed, but when I did that it just repeated the same old message over and over again.  Sounds like a scammer to me.

"Card Services" Guy (Obvious Indian accent) tried to get me to "Werify" my Visa/MC account number by giving it to him. When I asked him what werify meant, he got a little flustered and started on about having a green card. Claims to be from Brazil, with a green card, and living in AZ. Funny how Brazilians use the V in their language...

A voice with Indian accent called to reduce my credit cards charges, but they are a scam. He said they had been monitoring my card, but when I asked them for the last 4 digits of the card, he told me to go [***] myself. Real nice guy. I also noticed this number 888-727-1127 is the same number to call for the fake computer virus that beeps and locks up your browser. Total Scam. NEVER GIVE YOUR CARD NUMBER TO SOMEONE WHO CALLS YOU. The bank will have your card number and can verify it with the last 4 digits.

These criminals con you into believing that they are from Microsoft, and that your PC is generating a virus. If they succeed they connect to your PC and say they need your credit card number for a small fee to clean out the virus. Their idea of a small fee is $199.00 per month. Our political leaders are to stupid to stop these crooks.

i answered message says can make all your visa/mc accounts interest rate to 0 ... I know its a scam but decided to press 1, to get a live person, he repeated the scam wording and I asked where, he said Atlanta, I asked what is the name of your company, no answer, I said I will not give you my info until I know who I am talking with, I asked again and they hung up. And interesting that I just paid my visa account and I get an immediate call from this number, this isn't the 1st time. I happens often. I am calling the credit card companies to tell them what happens each time I pay.
