- J| 3 repliesReceived a call from a spoofed local number, with this number left as the call back number in the message. Message stated: "This message is intended for xxx. We have a complaint that has been referred to our office in reference to your name and social security number. Please press one to speak with a live representative or contact 1-888-732-1025 upon receipt of this message." Mostly likely a scam.

- The Peak's replies to TimGot a call from the same thing local number saying I had a problem with my social number and when I called the number 1-877-732-1025 it said to leave a message. Just saying they are doing this everywhere
- Scam Stopper| 3 repliesThey say that they are trying to help collect on a debt for an old payday loan from 2012. (A year that I can prove I never took out any loans). The problem is that they are calling all of my family members and saying that I have pending judgements against me. They refuse to provide me with the documentation of the loan besides an account number and original loan amount (and quite a few grammatical errors). Nothing with the contract though.
They do business as Direct Capital Associates LLC out of Buffalo NY. I encourage you to contact the State of New York if you are having troubles with them.- Caller: Direct Capital Associates LLC
- cIt bothers me that they say they have my social security number.
- cdmIt kind of bothers me that they say they have my social security number.
- Joyce TeelI get phone messages on my telephone for a person named Elaine Dado or Daydo. It is continuous. Most have stated that this person should get an attorney because there has been a fraud, or they are calling about a tax return. First of all, no one by that name lives here, never has. I do not know who this person is. The call that was on my answering machine today was from Direct Capitol phone number 888-732-1025 ext 112. when called message is that the messages are full and can not take anymore and then the phone hangs up. They stated, the call was about a tax return. The other calls was for an arrest with different phone numbers to call. I have those numbers also, as I have caller ID>

- Scam Stopper| 2 repliesI have met with someone else that has been hit by these scammers. They call everyone in your family and embarrass you until you pay them off.
We have no power against people like this individually. If anyone would like to join together to take them down, email stopdirectcapitalassociates@gmail.com. Maybe a group can take them down.
If you are in doubt about them being a scam company. Look at their website and their address at the bottom. Then google that address. The storage company that does business out of that address has never heard of them.- Caller: Direct Capital Associates LLC
- Slim replies to Scam StopperNo.
Too many "email me to stop scams" posts are merely phishing attempts.
Do you really think you can do more than the federal govt is doing now?
If so, state your case here. - Scam Stopper| 3 repliesYou seem to think that the Federal Government is doing enough to stop this. But, I have noticed an increase in these types of scams, not a decrease. I'm NOT saying I can stop this. And honestly, I don't care if you email me or not. But, rather than sitting around, I'm going to try and do something about this.
The reason things like this are able to succeed is that everyone expects someone else to do something about it. I'm tired of waiting for someone to stop them. - GateKeeper replies to Scam Stopper| 1 replyWhat are you planning on doing?
Specifically?
I'm curious what you plan on doing after a stranger e-mails you and says "I was called/scammed by these guys!"
I have to think, unless you're planning something illegal, you'd have no reason not to answer this question. - joe shmo replies to Scam StopperI feel like whatever you do legal or illegal what's it matter. These people are doing this [***] illegally and no one dose [***] about it. I'm with you on this one. And the guy below your post that's asking the dumb ass question about if what your going to do is legal or not is probably one of the scammers. Do what you have to to stop these people I wish I knew where they we're so I can help.
- joe shmo replies to GateKeeperWhat do you care what he is planning? Unless you are one of the scammers and are worried about your own well being.
- Jennifer EmeryThese people keep harassing me both at home and at work about some supposed pay day loan from 2/2009 they have called my employer saying they have legal documents to serve me, every time I speak to someone the amount is more- sounds like a scam and they are unable to prove the debt is valid. How can I make them stop?
- Caller: Direct Capital
- Call type: Debt collector
- Concerned replies to JI got the same call only it was for my daughter who has not lived at home for 15 years or better! Left message for her saying they had a complaint regarding her SS #! Crazy! I did not answer!
