- Leelee| 1 replyI did get a phone call from them stating my name and my ssn is attached to a matter. They did not say nothing else. This is very suspect. I looked this number up and I am glad to read that there are a number of complaints about them. I knew something was not right. They can go the hell on as far as I am concerned.

Web site lists him as an attorney that also does debt collection and gives an address that is probably in a virtual office:

No BBB page yet.
There is no LLC registered in Texas or any other state for that matter which would preclude this enterprise from legally conducting business, which a “lawyer” should know.
They are not registered with the Dept. of State in Texas as a collection agency and they do not seem to have the required necessary surety bond.

Texas BAR registration indicates he has been a lawyer for around 18 months:

Whois information on his web page indicates that it less than a year old and will expire next month:

Federal law (FDCPA) requires them to send you a letter (US MAIL ONLY) within 5 days of their first contact that contains their name, physical address, the creditor’s name, and the amount of the alleged debt. It also must contains “mini-Miranda” telling you that it is an attempt to collect a debt and that all information will be used for those purposes. The one other important thing that this letter must also have in it is that you have a right to dispute the debt within 30 days of receipt of the letter and if you do so, all collection activity must be stopped until the debt is verified.
Read up on your rights here, get template letters to send and also make a complaint at this government site: http://www.consumerfinance.gov/
Also file a complaint with your State Attorney General's office.
List of State AG’s offices: http://consumerfraudreporting.org/stateattorneygenerallist.php - NdeedSo I received a call fromthe law offices of Jonathan C Frank today claiming that I owe over $600. This is from a pay day loan that I never received back in 2013. I had never even heard of the loan company before either. The caller named Angela stated that if I did not pay, this would go to litigation. I called my bank and they have no deposits from anyone other than the VA for my GI bill. So this is definitely fraudulent. To top it off, it is heinous that they would try to take advantage of a war veteran.

- Yvette JamesI just received two telephone calls from Jonathan C. Frank and Associates about a debt with a claim number. I do not know what they are speaking about and will ignore unless I receive something via U.S. mail in writing about such debt
