Called area Code 727 at 8:45 no voice. These Alzheimer folks have called before and I have hung up on them. Are they immune to the  do not call list or just forgetful?

I've been getting calls daily for over a week.  No one is there when I answer.  So, I finally called them, listened to the prompts and entered my phone number to have it removed from their call list.  Hope it works.

Received call - no response.  Rude.  Im on do-not-call list.
From previous postings that its from the Alzheimer's Assn.
Guess they forgot to say something.

Very annoying calls several times a day !!! We answer the calls they hang up !!! Whats the freaking deal with the phone harassment !!!!

Calls daily. Finally answered and there was no respone from the caller.

Saturday and morning calls-- very annoying.

They call early in the morning and do notleave anything.

Like 8:00 AM, when I'm asleep...  Might be worth it to get out of bed and request to be taken off their list.  Sad thing is, I used to donate to these jerks!

Numerous calls, no one on line when answered.  Annoying.  I wish to be removed.

I get calls from 1-888-771-2959 starting from 8:45am to 9pm at night. Every time I answer, there's silence. Finally I called the number and it's associated with Alzheimer's association. I wonder what they are waiting for before responding to my hello?

I have been getting calls from 888-771-2959 2x a day for at least 2 weeks but I never answer the phone. My aunt has Alzheimer's so I have given money in the past to this organization but they won't see another dime from me. I am on the DNC list but I guess in this case it doesn't matter. How do you stop these people from doing this?

Calls come in every morning and afternoon...no message on recorder.

Did not answer them.  They did not leave a message.  If you have caller ID (Qwest), record the number,hang up,then punch *77 and hang up again.  supposedly this blocks them from calling again.

Since this phone does not show up when you try reverse directory, I suspect that it is a cell and the caller is nothing but a scammer...

Go to Best Buy and get a new phone (set of two $70) and you can block up to 30 numbers.  It rings once then disconnects caller -- I LOVE IT!!!!!

Calls 7 to 10 times in 1 day.  I thought the "do not call" registry was supposed to prevent jerks like this from bothering us.  How can we stop this????

I am also getting these calls from this number.  They are so early in the morning that I never answer them.  I, too, am getting perturbed about this.  I called that number back and the recording said to press "1" to be removed from the list (can take up to 30 days to be removed) so we'll see if this works.  Last comment---isn't it ironic that there are Alzheimer ads on this site???

I CALLED 1-800-272-3900 TO GET A LIVE PERSON; SHE PERSONALLY SAID SHE WOULD TAKE MY NAME OFF THEIR LIST.  I TOLD HER ABOUT THIS SITE AND THE REGISTERED COMPLAINTS  AND THAT THEY ARE ACTUALLY HURTING THEIR ASSOCIATION'S CHANCES OF GETTING HELP RATHER THAN HELPING IT.  SHE WAS VERY COOPERATIVE.
