Called at 7am.  Woke me up.  I am retired and like to sleep till 9.  Rang 5 times then quit, not even long enough for me to get out of bed and go into the family room to answer it.  Thanks to the people who have identified this I will block them, matter-of-fact, I will just block the whole 888 area code, since no one I know uses it.

Called at just before 11 PM local time. Very inconsiderate of them. I didn't bother saying anything, just picked up the phone and then hung it up again. Scamming scum.

Second day receiving calls from this number...the first time was 24 September at 2:26p EDT...I answered to find out who it was to report it...I said hello, with an accent, and the person read his script...I said hello again, to make him repeat it (if they are going to try to scam me, I'm going to have some fun with them, and get as much information as I can)...I then told the person he had the wrong number and hung up...didn't work because they have called back today, twice...first time at 11:38am EDT, and then about 15 minutes ago, but I was on the phone and I ignored the call waiting beep...it went through to voicemail, and no message was left...I called the number back this morning...it went to a "Colorado Cancer Center" automated system...it stated the office was not open and gave me a list of other options...either this scammer is spoofing this number, or they have set up a good back story for anyone who tries calling back the number...normally, I would just think they really had the wrong number, which is why they did not leave a message today, IF I had not spoken to the person on Saturday...it was a person trying to offer me service for my computer, as mentioned by others who left posts here

This number calls at least twice a month, every two weeks or so, and always at about 10:30 PM or thereabouts.  I never answer, and apparently they don't listen to my voice message.

Call from Microsoft to tell me they had detected a virus on my PC.  Unfortunately I didn't have any time to play games with them so I put my phone on hold.  It has some really annoying computer generated hold music.  Didn't take long for them to hang up.  Hopefully they call next time when I have the time to have a battle of wits with an unarmed person.

Called my house at 9:49 PM from 888 841-8142. No legitimate business calls after 9 PM. Picked up the receiver and slammed it down in their ear (good old fashioned type phone). These scammers are out of control

Received a call at 9:40 pm on 29 Sep.  It is the same scam call from Windows regarding trouble with computer.

Just called at 10:15pm. I didn't answer. Annoying at this hour since some of household was already in bed.

Indian accent woman claiming to be with Microsoft certified something or another. When asked where she was located, she replied NY City. She asked" if I was the user of the computer" to which I replied "which one?" "The computer identified by the id number that they have documented" to which I responded "what is the number?" She then hung up.

keep getting calls from these clowns... they start by giving a bogus anglo name.... but have a heavy indian accent... problem with computer ...tell them have no computer...or, using my own "indian" accent tell them I recognize their voice...they are my cousins from Mumbai and to stop pranking me

Call from this number saying from Microsoft technical support. He said he detected a problem with my computer.  I asked for a number to return the call to make sure it was legit and he hung up!  Same voice as foreigner that calls from IRS and other companies. I block the number each time and they call from a different number.

Got call Oct. 3 at 9:45 pm and 2 or 3 times last week.  We have registered Do Not Call.
Picked the phone no one spoke and call hung up.

Received a call from this number at 10:46 PM from Windows center, claiming my computer is expiring, wanted to me log on to www.anydesk.com. I told them I had no internet after wasting their time for 36 minutes.
