- Mike| 2 repliesafter hours call to my business, just a hang up
- Info replies to Dan| 1 replyYes the number is for MetLife. I've checked into the issues about toll free numbers not having ID info on the tag line. Something was said about the phone companies will not place ID on the tag line. I agree though with the rest of all here, the company should identify themselves in the initial call whether it is live or on Voice Mail....and the company should be required to leave a VM.......otherwise, quit calling........
- Call from 800 Service ID??Received a call from 888-865-9464 that caller id indicated was 800 Service. I do not answer unidentified numbers. Looked it up here to find it was METLIFE. Dear Metlife, identify yourself for caller id or at least leave a message.

- Gleft no message, caller ID shows 800 service
- jeffI called back. It is a MetLife followup to check how they did when you contact their customer service. When you call back they provide that information and say, "Sorry we missed you. No need to call back." In other words if you pick up you can answer the survey. If you call back you do not get connected to the survey line.

- BenSame issues here............Caller ID says 800 Service. It makes sense that it would be MetLife, since we had dealings with them recently, but why not MetLife on caller ID? Blocker hung up for me

- Some one who caresI receive a call from this number too. Don't let the name fool you. For months Aetna has been calling me offering me free medical cream and a diabetic meter. The scaring cream I thought was coming from my regular insurance company.. They had sent me some before. I didn't question it because I just had more surgery. By the time I received it. I realized it was a diff pharmacy a foreign Dr. My first and last name was misspelled
So I was afraid to use the cream. (Sorry this is lengthy). Then they started calling me about a free diabetic meter. I told them over and over I didn't need one. Finally I told them if they call me again I was going to report them. these people speak broken English. They proceeded to yell at me and tell me they had to give me a password for them to take me off the list.and if I didn't accept it they were just going to bother me more.
My point is This was not Aetna these are professional identity thieves. The more you converse with them the more info they can pull up on you. They called me 10 times yesterday.all under different numbers. This was one of them.- Caller: Aetna

- dutch2220Yes, as others have written this call comes via MetLife. I called to make a policy change yesterday and within the past 24 hours have received two calls, one at 5:45AM! Didn't answer either call, but last time this happened it was a survey to ask how you found your customer service experience. Annoying.

- William BlairThis is most definitely MetLife Customer Service. They call to follow up (to conduct a customer satisfaction survey) after you call them for any reason (checking on the performance of their staff). I think it's pathetic that they do not identify themselves on Caller ID, which is why I did not answer. But after seeing the comments here, I called back to confirm that they had, in fact, called me, and why, exactly, as well. They said the call was automatic, and the person I spoke with had no clue why their name did not show up on Caller ID. They then wanted to transfer me to the customer satisfaction survey, but I declined and told them that if they would not give me the courtesy of identifying themselves on these "automatic" calls, then I decline them the courtesy of completing a survey. That is as far as that comment will probably go inside MetLife, but at least I had the satisfaction of telling them to go take a long walk on a short pier.
