- chris replies to DamirHi all, never ever ever state to any of these people they have found the right person. Tell them instead to use the address on file to contact the individual via postal office and hang up...once you answer and talk to them youre done for.
- Elizabeth HillCalls a lot and doesn't leave a voice mail.
- TobyThe best way to deal with these guys - DON'T ANSWER a phone number you do not recognize. If you are being harassed and you have the tools - BLOCK THEM! If their 'claim' is legitimate, you will receive a letter by mail called a Dunning Letter. This still does not give them the power to collect due to the massive amount of information floating around on the web - many larger court systems and municipalities have their public records on line for ANYONE to see (it's legal), so rip-off artists can spoof a realistic scam.
The do not call list and all those other agencies (Fair Debt Collection, etc) - WORTHLESS. Think about it - if these scam artists are in India (etc), what does US Law do???? And I see evidence that these government agencies have limited effect here in the good ole USA

- water| 1 replyReceived a call which started off with a blunt recording, "Please continue to hold". Voice came on line asking for a person I never heard of. I had him repeat the number that was called which was my number and told him that there was no person with that name living at this number and that I have had this number for several years. He politely thanked me and stated that they would remove my phone number from their list. We shall see.

- water replies to waterWell, it would appear that they did what they said. I have had no additional calls from this number for the past week. The week before I answered and talked to the person, we had about 10 calls which we did not answer.
- MelodyThese are 3rd party debt collectors who have no business with you because they bought the debt for pennies on a dollar and are trying to get you to pay them, tell them you have no contract with them and to prove you do or stop calling

- Ken MihalikThey keep phoning and asking for my wife. She died over a year ago. They asked for her DOD, but never expressed a reason for their call. If this is debt collection, we have no debts. If this is solicitation, it ought to halt.
