That number is spoofed (faked). The caller is probably not in the USA.

I received a call from this number this AM.  He called himself as Kevin Parker.  I told him based on his strong Indian accent, he is neither Kevin nor Parker.  I asked for his name, badge and the phone number.  He hung up on me.  I called the number  back and this time the guy said it is IRS office and his name was David Michaels.  I asked for Kevin Parker and David said he fired him.  Also he refused to talk with me as I would not confirm my identity.

I also got a call on my home number and the person left a message in a thick Indian accent. I had to listen to the message 4 times to figure out what he was saying. The message was similar to other posts. That I have 3 federal charges and call ASAP 1-888-909-8081. I knew from the first instance it is a scam. First of all IRS do not call people, they sent letters or summons. So I called the number and asked for that person who left the message. I asked when did IRS start working til late in evening (my local time was 7:25 PM EST) and asked him about his employee ID and he gave me some factious number. He hung up instantly, when I said I am going to report this to the law enforcement and FBI.

I had the same msg saying that he is calling from IRS with a heavy accent.

This is the 2nd time this lady called with a Indian accent. when you call the no it is busy. Its all scam. She sasy she is officer something..

i wonder why irs or fbi does not track them down!

Heavy foreign accent  name Michael Clark claiming to be from IRS  left voice mail. This is another scam as reported by hundreds of people. Law enforcement MUST investigate this person

Don't talk to these people.  They are frauds.  everyone knows IRS doesn't call, they just take.

I had a message on my vm saying they are from internal revenue services...the call came around 11.29 am from 18889098081. That they have legal case file and my name is under investigation.. They are 3 federal charges on my name. They asked call back immediately

I also received a call from this number 888-909-8081 this morning. I am from India myself but of different grade of people. I believe in honest living. These [***] want to make free buck by robbing people. I used my full curs dictionary in Hindi using their mothers and sisters. I became as foul mouthed as possible to make them know that we do not fall for their trick. I disconnected the phone line to save myself trouble of getting his call ever five seconds. Finally after long time I reconnected the line. I had a message from this idiot. He returned all my curses back to me in Hindi (Indian national language). That proves beyond doubt that these criminal are Indians. They speak Hindi language. They are using either Vonage phone numbers or Magic jack to call here at no cost to them. Please inform the law as soon as possible. But nothing will hapen. I also called local Police department. They shrug their shoulders and tell me that I should neglect such calls. I have a strong feeling that our telephone companies are supplying them our number for money.

Pathetic people, (these sons of multiple fathers) Either they are from India or Pakistan or Bangaldesh Since All of these people can speak Hindi/Urdu.  screwing up their countries name

What a scam...this guy has the guts of saying that he is from IRS and when I didn't want to identify what my name is he went to the extent of cussing me...he is definitely an Indian and to be specific from South of India possibly from either Bangalore or Chennai...these scamsters just work thru IP technology which makes it almost impossible to track the main number or te orh which owns that number...

These [***] also called me. Same threatening BS. I knew it was a scam and I knew it was from India. I am an indian desen too. I told him I would get a lawyer and he tried desparately tried to get me to resolve the issue for $900. I told him take me court. So he said he will forward my case to the sheriff and I am going to jail and then hung up.

This is a Scam.  Please do not send any money.

Saying he is calling from IRS, and if don't pay, I'll get deported back to my home country.
