I just got the same phone today stating that I have 3 federal charges and to  call Mr.Alex Jones 1-888-909-8081. Very strong Chinese accent.  I was worried . I tried to call the number it was busy . I google it and then found
this post. Thanks for posting this.

Same # and same message as others have written.  I live in the NYC area, and they have been calling here on and off since early April with the same message about identity fraud, etc.  Same heavily accented voice.  He claims to be from the IRS and always ends the call with "good luck!"

Same here except I cussed them out in Gujarati. When he called back, I cussed him out more, didn't even give him a chance to talk.

I have also received a call from this number 40 minutes ago. He claims I'm under investigation on three counts of Identity fraud? I'm not calling him back, but I am calling the actual IRS to report this.

Got calls couple of times & when called back  the guy said it was from IRS.

I just got a call from this number, heavy indian accent. Oddly enough, they did not say they were from the IRS. They said were asking for someone else. I told them they have the wrong number, then he proceeded to go through a long list of names asking me if I'm this person or that person. Then they asked me who I was. I told them my name and they asked.. so you're not Naveen.. NO! they then hung up.

I just received a message from this number and got very upset.  Fortunately my accountant had just verified that I am completely clean and with nothing to worry about but I certainly hope that this does not upset or cause harm to innocent people who might not think to check under this type of site and be relieved of their worries.   Thank all of you for your efforts in reassuring the rest of us who dont immediately identify that this is a scam and get bullied.

Big time scam!! watch out people!

Received a call from 1-888-909-8081 heavy accent, saving he was from the irs and 3 investigations against me.  This a a fraud call

I agree , this guy is a scammer and harassing people. Do not send him anything. He is a crook from India. He pretend to be IRS and scarring people.

Got a call from this number 888-909-8081 today while I was working from home. Heavy South Indian accent and introduced himself as Michael Morris. Used the same old line of I owed the IRS in back taxes (my wife tells me he has called previously) and if I had received any calls from the local office.

I actually laughed at him and curiosity got the best of me so I didn't hang up as I usually do and played along. I told him I had gotten 2 calls from the local office telling me that Michael Morris would call me and that Mr. Morris was a piece of S***T. Got to give it to him - he remained unfazed and kept right along confirming if I had received 2 or 3 calls and then he proceeded to tell me he was going to send the cops since I was using abusive language with an IRS office and he can forgive it if I pay up and man did I let lose the best of the worst of Hindi/Urdu curse words...surprisingly he remained calm! (must get this often). It felt good though...this sad example of a man did me a huge psychological favor. I have not been able to curse so openly in years! more so because I no longer know anyone who deserves it in this beautiful country I now call home :)

Mr. Morris (whatever your name is), I'm sure you troll this site and while I ask you to go find a respectable job and stop harassing people more naive than me I do appreciate the fact that you allowed me to curse you out in the way I did...you even allowed me use French and Spanish curse words too because you continued to pretend you didn't understand Hindi. Thank You!

For those of you who find this less amusing (like my wife) - hang up - if the readers of this post all use Verizon's World Plan or have used overseas Calling Cards please speak up since I believe that our numbers are being harvested to these scammers just because we call our countries of origin often.

They also called me and they said that i voilated 3 IRS Law and the Officer will be on my door step to arrest me. But i do have the other options to pay them through Government Certified Green vouchers which is available in Seven Eleven, CVS, Radio shack, Dollar General etc, And they can close the file which will provide the clean cheat to me.
This will not go to the Sheriff office and i don't need to go to court.

They also said that every conversation is recorded and can act against me. Even i was ready to pay. Till i made a payment with the green voucher I need to stay on the phone but that sound little phisy to me and i told i don't have any mony i just have credit card and i need to touch base with my wife to get the Debit card so that i can purchase voucher and provide them the voucher name.

I asked him to provide me 10 to 15 minutes time but they were hesitating finally with no other means they provided that time. Then i discussed with my wife and she scolded that guy and said not my husband you will go to jail if you call this number again and hung the phone.

I got the same phone call asking for my dad. I went online and came to know that it's a fraud. And boy! I called them back and cursed them so much! In fact, i have never cursed so much in my life!

I got the call from  888-909-8081  number too. I knew it's a scam. So I said every bad word I can think of it.Never got any call again. And I been calling that number and cursing at them every time I call. I think we all should keep calling them and just keep cursing at them,Just to turn the tables.

Got a call and voicemail May 6th from the same number stating the same from "Officer Steve Adams." Heavy Indian accent and could hear the same message being left by others in the background. Immediately blocked the number. Scam!

I just received a call from this # saying that he is from the IRS and wants me to speak to Daniel Williams who is the officer in charge with my case. He claimed that there are 3 cases filed against me by the IRS. I questioned what those charges are but he didn't answer. I asked why would he be calling me rather than sending a letter because the IRS would not make a phone call if we owe any money. He said they sent me several letters and I asked where were they sent. He mentioned an old address of mine, so right away I know this was a scam. I told him that since I pay my taxes every year, the IRS should have my correct address and not send me mailing at the wrong address. He hung up on me right at that point. Please ask questions and don't easily be a victim in sending your money to these thieves.

IRS person - I think he got my info off the public phone directory. I think this is a VOIP line judging by the disturbance. Heavy accent. I think he must be from India/South Asia.
He connected me to an investigating officer who identified as Daniel was going to make a recorded statement with I had to answer without interruption. He will give a chance to ask questions at the end. He warned me the that it was a federally recorded line and will be used in front of a Jury.

The line got disconnected. He called me back and asked me to wait for him at my house. He was going to arrest me within 30 mins.
