I got a call from this number also. I was suspicious and I called the credit union. The credit union told me that there is a security check pending on my account. I didn’t call 1-888-918-7313. My credit union is looking into it.

    Dr. Jill, Interim Pres.
I received a recorded phone message from this phone number about my credit or debit card. The call listed my name and bank. The caller ID was PSCU. This number is not listed on my card or the website for my bank. There is nothing wrong with my card. The number has probably been taken over by someone phishing for information. I called the number and it seemed suspicious in many ways. It is a scam, but maybe not all the time.  I would be very careful using this phone number. Maybe go to your bank branch and deal with it in person or call your bank directly.

I got a letter to call this number.  I checked with my own Credit Union card services dept. before calling the 888-918-7313  number.  My credit union said it was legit.   Jesse James Tubs tried to make a charge on my and other members' cards.  The credit union put a hold on my card and said to get a new card issued.  I have never once used this card, so it may have been found through some kind of hack.

So the timeline is this?  1.  You received a letter telling you to call this number?  2. So you then called your Credit Union who "told" you that this number is legitimate?  3.  You then took the time to look this number up to tell us that this is a legitimate number?  Please explain why you took the time to look up a number when you claim that you already knew who it belonged to?  What logical or rational reason would you have for doing that?  The only reason that I could come up with is that you are one of the scummy scammers trying to get people to believe that calls from this number are legitimate when they really are not.  Does that pretty much sum it up?

...but after reading these messages, I called Credit Union.  They said it was legit and connected me with their security people...these are the people who called.  They checked if I had freely made the purchase.

    Always vigilant
I think this number can be legit for some and not for others.  My experience is they called my alternative number 6x this month (August 4-28), left only 1 voicemail on Aug 4, saying they are calling about a security lock on my credit union credit card with case number. The main number they called from was a branch of the credit union, that I have never visited before, but what was suspicious was I used that card way after Aug 4 and it all went through with no freeze. Business as usual and I only knew about the voicemail on Aug 30, because I was trying to verify something else.

So I did call my bank directly, they said there is no security lock of any kind and suspect phishing.

But I do remember on other occasions last year, that I have received security locks and asking me to call an 888 number, not 100% sure if its this one since it was last year.  After I called the main bank number to verify, they transferred me to the secuity company that handles it. So my point is, whether its legit or not, its always best to call your bank’s or credit card’s main number and have them sort it out.

I dont understand why when someone says its a scam, people yell no. When some say its legit, people yell no. I can be both. Like others say, spoofing seems normal these days and what could be legit for some can also be a scam for others.

This is legit. On my caller ID it came up as Norfolk Community Federal Credit Union, and they act as the fraud department for One AZ Credit Union. I called One AZ and they validated it for me.

Looks like the lying shills who want to scam people out of money are populating this thread.  You should be ashamed of yourself for lying, stealing, and well for even simply using up the air, water, and space that honest people need on this planet.
