- Kate| 1 replyNot legit. Just picked up a voice message, hard to understand, lot's of electronic buzz. Claimed to be in regard to my credit union debit card. I checked my accounts online, then contacted my credit union. They would have contacted me directly if there was any issue, which there is NOT. Totally bogus and amateur.
- They Called Me Too| 10 repliesChecked w/ my bank. They said that this is a scam phishing for info.
- davmc214 replies to They Called Me Too| 7 repliesThis is a totally legitimate company. I received a call from this number and immediately contacted my credit union. They use this company called PSCU Credit Services to monitor Visa cards for fraud and was told by my bank to feel completely secure calling them back on the issue.
- Roc44 replies to dittoI got a similar message. It was "Shirley" calling from my credit union on a.... Sunday??? To ensure that my Visa Credit Card Service wasn't interrupted. I think I will just take care of this with my credit union as well.
- RonThey seem to be legitimate. After I heard to voice message on my phone I contacted this site, read some comments and called the number. The guy asked for for my phone # and last 5 digits of my SSN and then asked me if I had made 2 online purchases, he named them and the amount and I said yes. They were for tiny $ amounts as it was for "trial offers" and the guy said maybe my credit card company has those websites on a watch list or something. All pretty innocuous so they seem to be ok.

- sofiait is a valid company PSCU Credit Services monitor credit cards VISA for fraudulent activity. my bank told me they were perfectlylegit and to call them
- DaveCalled my CU right away and they said it was a security company they used for member card security .... Falcon is a valid security company for a CU in Michigan and I should return their phone call.
- Jan1-888-918-7313 This number is NOT legit. I called them and they didn't even have my name in their system so I started to get suspicious. I provided my name and zip code and they still couldn't verify it so I told them I will just call my CU to verify my card. Thank goodness I did because they said their security dept is with Falcone and the number I gave them is not registered with that company.
CALL your bank/CU first before giving any info to any so-called security dept from your bank/CU!!!!!
They were only able to charge $1.39 on my card to see if they were able to use it, but I was able to shut it down before they could do any more damage. - BobBobBobLooks legit to me. Left a message saying they were Falcon, calling on behalf of my Credit Union, and they were calling about potential fraud on my credit card. I didn't answer -- because I was busy sending a note to my CU, because someone stole my XBox and used my credit card info to make several fraudulent transactions. If I hadn't caught the fraud already, these guys would be my best friend.

- it's not a scam replies to cheezzz1031| 1 replyi got this call and they told me they were from PSU (payment services). If you have an account with the Credit union, this is not a scam. They are doing their job and protecting your account.
- DanValid Call from company contracting with Credit Union to verify off normal transactions.
- DonnaThey left us a message saying they needed to verify usage. It sounded suspicious so we called our credit union and they verified that this company was hired to check into suspicious usage. In our case we bought something big 3 days in a row with our debit card which is not normal for us. They were just calling to verify that we did make those purchases.
- Caller: Not sure - they say on behalf of Wescom

According to my CU, not a fraud. But the way the person proceeds with the conversation raises suspicions . . . . sounded like one of those folks half way around the world that so many businesses farm out their customer support to, who read from technical manuals, but can't ever answer technical questions. She claimed to be calling about a charge on my credit card, and when they started wanting some personal verification info I asked how I could know it was a legitimate call. The woman told me I could verify it with my CU, so I did. And the charge in question was not one I had made. Still, there is something about the way they handle their calls that does raise suspicions. - HudinskiThis is a valid phone call. This company is hired by Credit Unions to monitor your account for suspicious activity. I just recieved a call this morning, 2/7, inquiring about some unusual charges just made this morning for approx. $372 in flower purchases which I did not make..... I am glad they called. My credit card # was shut down immediately and I will NOT be liable for these costs. And yes, they called on a Sunday and again, I'm glad they did as credit card thefts do not take breaks over the weekend....
- RetiredAuditorgot a call from 888 918 7313 reporting suspicious activity on a credit card issued by my credit union; left msg that gave their name as Falcon Security; called the credit union and they do use Falcon; was transfered to security and once they verified my info, reported several suspicious $99 charges from an online company I had never heard of; credit cards cancelled and report files
- Caller: Falcon Security
- JuniorThis is legit. Falcon is a department within the nation's largest CUSO, servicing over 500 credit unions nation wide. If you have a debit or credit card with a credit union, chances are the Falcon neural network monitors your cards 24/7. However, do be aware of scammers.
A Falcon representative will NEVER ask you for your account #. They have that already. If they speak to you, you will be asked a few standard security questions and they review transactions only. If a message is left and you call back, they will ask you to provide the PHONE # you got a message on.
Again, never give out your account #. If the voice on the other side is asking for it, its likely a scam. - Jerry| 1 replyI got a call from PCE Securities about my credit union debit card, when I called the number back, the said the represented over 500 credit unions and kept trying to get information from me. I checked my account online and there were no transactions that I had not made. SCAM SCAM SCAM.

- Jean| 1 replyGot a call from at woman at the phone number. She asked me if I made purchases today at Wal-Mart. Not only do I not shop at Wal-Mart, but my husband and I were at home all day. She advised me to call our Credit Union to report this theft. She said someone must have made a card with our information on it.
I checked our banking on-line and sure enough these charges were there. I called the Credit Union and this charge will be removed from our account.
I was reluctant to speak with this woman, and was on guard to what information I gave her, but she didn't ask anything confidential. I was very satisfied and amazed that this transaction was found so soon. - Always Suspicious replies to JeanI received a call that went unanswered and thus received a voice mail from "Wendy"; caller ID 888-918-7313. Stating she was from my credit union security, performing a routine security check and I should return her call to the same number "as soon as possible". I did return the call, connected with someone, obviously not the original caller, with a very heavy accent. She started asking questions immediately, first for my name. I told her before I gave any personal information, I wondered why I had received the call. She hung up on me. Of course my bank was closed until tomorrow. I called VISA immediately and was told they have received many complaints and the call back number was not anyone that they used for the purpose of security or other wise. I'll be going to my credit union tomorrow morning. VISA is so convinced this is a scam that they have launched an investigation.
Be careful, because the artists can and do make the calls, make the purchases and take your identity.
