- allgirl replies to Samplerman| 1 replyI totally agree, but how are they able to repeat your bank information, social security #, etc.?
- Not Loy or Roy| 1 replyThis number keeps calling me with a computerized voice mentioning a name and saying to call back. I finally called them back to say that they have the wrong number.. a "Mr. Martinez" asked for my name and I said "Not roy harison" to which he immediately replied "no, it's Loy and I have the number right here". Funny how he corrected me so fast, like he uses the fake name all the time.
According to their computer generated answering system and Mr. Martinez, they are AIS Services, a debt collection company. However, their caller ID info misleadingly says "Going Nuts" as the name. Smells like a scam, which makes sense as I read the entries on here.
They have a few different websites, seemingly different ones for different customers.

- mun dung replies to mundoginstead of spouting useless drivel, try reading these entries and you will see that people are saying that they don't owe anyone squat, so these calls are obviously scams. unfortunately, scams are quite popular in the world. or do you live under a rock?
- CatThey have been calling DAILY at least once and sometimes TWICE a day!! It's very irritating and a complete interruption! If I answer and say no one is here by that name, THEY HANG UP! If I ask them to remove the number, THEY ALSO HANG UP! But they DON'T STOP CALLING!
THANK YOU "Granny of 3" for the info. I sent them a cease and desist by mail, email, and fax. Hope that handles it!- Caller: Unknown Name

They are a bunch of jerks and liars collecting on debts that are very, very old. The collectors will say anything to get you to pay. - donotcallmeThey call about a debt that I paid off 1 year ago. I have faxed them proof twice now. I told "Hakim" that I was going to fax everyday and call HIM until they say that the fax was received and leave me alone.

- curmudgeon replies to sassyDon't answer their calls. Check your credit reports, all three. If they show as a debt then protest it with the credit reporting agency. If you do owe and they are attempting to collect on a "charge off" on an old debt then do not acknowledge the debt in any way. If they can not show proof of the debt (original loan or credit card info, account numbers, etc) they don't have a case. Always refer to the amount it as "alleged debt". If the last activity (charge or payment by YOU) on the debt is over four years old they can not do much except make calls and write letters. If they should sue, you reply to the suit as "not valid due to statute of limitations." But do not ignore a suit, respond promptly, or the court will rule against you by default.
People do get in over their heads for a number of reasons. It happens! Best bet is to not acknowledge any phone calls or written communication unless it is a notification of a suit being filed and a court appearance may be required. These vultures will say and do anything but there are legal limits they must adher to or pay huge fines. Keep tabs on when the calls come in, time and date. Refer to federal regulations as to what debt collectors can and can not do. If you acknowledge the debt, such as "I can't pay this debt" that starts the statute of limitations clock running again for another four years. - Alfalfa| 3 repliesHere is a good example of a validation letter to send. If they can't prove you own the debt, they get NOTHING. Be sure to send it VIA certified mail and request a return receipt:

Dear {insert name of collector or company},
I am writing in response to your (letter or phone call) dated {insert date}, (copy enclosed) because I do not believe I owe what you say I owe.
This is the first I've heard from you, or any other company on this matter therefore, in accordance with the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, Section 809(b): Validating Debts:
(b) If the consumer notifies the debt collector in writing within the thirty-day period described in subsection (a) that the debt, or any portion thereof, is disputed, or that the consumer requests the name and address of the original creditor, the debt collector shall cease collection of the debt, or any disputed portion thereof, until the debt collector obtains verification of the debt or any copy of a judgment, or the name and address of the original creditor, and a copy of such verification or judgment, or name and address of the original creditor, is mailed to the consumer by the debt collector.
I respectfully request that you provide me with the following information:
(1) the amount of the debt;
(2) the name of the creditor to whom the debt is owed;
(3) Provide a verification or copy of any judgment (if applicable);
(4) Proof that you are licensed to collect debts in (insert name of your state)
Be advised that I am fully aware of my rights under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act and the Fair Credit Reporting Act. For instance, I know that:
because I have disputed this debt in writing within 30 days of receipt of your dunning notice, you must obtain verification of the debt or a copy of the judgment against me and mail these items to me at your expense;
you cannot add interest or fees except those allowed by the original contract or state law.
you do not have to respond to this dispute but if you do, any attempt to collect this debt without validating it, violates the FDCPA;
Also be advised that I am keeping very accurate records of all correspondence from you and your company including recording all phone calls and I will not hesitate to report violations of the law to my State Attorney General, the Federal Trade Commission and the Better Business Bureau.
I have disputed this debt; therefore, until validated you know your information concerning this debt is inaccurate. Thus, if you have already reported this debt to any credit-reporting agency (CRA) or Credit Bureau (CB) then, you must immediately inform them of my dispute with this debt. Reporting information that you know to be inaccurate or failing to report information correctly violates the Fair Credit Reporting Act § 1681s-2. Should you pursue a judgment without validating this debt, I will inform the judge and request the case be dismissed based on your failure to comply with the FDCPA.
Finally, if you do not own this debt, I demand that you immediately send a copy of this dispute letter to the original creditor so they are also aware of my dispute with this debt.

http://www.fair-debt-collection.com/Disputing ... ute-letter.html - AnonymThis company called our home this morning at 10:47 a.m. (MST) looking for someone who does not reside at our number. I told them this and I said do not call here anymore. The rep (female named Kerri??) snapped at me and I requested a supervisor. She hung up. I called back and the same rep answered, I said I want the department manager, and she said is this the guy I accidentally called? We have no business with you. I am not going to transfer you. Go do something better with your time. She hung up. I hope everyone reads that this company is rude, unprofessional and should be dropped kicked out of the industry!

- MandyAfter enduring years of harrassment from this company (I ignore the calls because I don't owe anyone anything and I don't know the person being called), the calls are now being made in Spanish. I don't speak Spanish, so I have no idea what is being said. But they've come up with a new name being called that appears to be different from the previous name. Maybe the company is just passing around numbers for the fun of it? Or maybe the people at 800-414-8319 have switched lists?

- OLD BUZZARDHad problems with calls from them about a year ago. After ignoring them and not returning their calls they finally stopped.
Today I received another call. They are getting lazy now and aren't including a name in the computer generated call. It opens up saying Hello(enter name) and then proceede to say that they have improtant information and to call 888 920 1300 and to enter a password. I thought they would have been closed down by now- Caller: AIS Services

- blueyedgrlklhThis is not the first company that has attempted to make these threatening phone calls to me. I had made some mistakes in the past but have no reason for them to try and contact me anymore. It seems they have acquired our personal information and are trying to scam is in to giving them money. I've talked to personal financial advisors and the attorney general's office and they say that the said collector must send proof by mail, and if anything legal were to come about it would have to go through your home state. I hope this keeps anyone from falling for these idiots! Good luck!
