I have received a phone call from this company regarding a loan from CashNet USA. After looking up their website, I found out that this is a scam company and that they are not affiliated with CashNet USA. I have called the company and let them know what I have discovered and the I will be investigating them. I believe that they have scammed me out of $740.00

they also go by 'morgan & associates' (according to the secret service they have many alias'}.  They have been calling me for months - but I never sent them a dime because I had seen the segment on ABC news a while back, exposing them as a fraud, and also knew that I didn't owe any money to pay day loans (i had two and paid them off the following pay day).  I, like many others on these boards have already filed reports with the FBI, Secret Service, FTC & the attorney general's office in many states.

Pass the word along!  These people are evil liars and thieves.

called at 6:30 p.m on my cell phone stated that I must make arrangeents to pay in full or set up payment arrangements then. They would not give me the name of the payday loan company but that I had pending three counts and that I would be dealt with within 24 hrs.  They would not let me contact my attorney on Monday, this being Friday evening. the contact name was Robert Bryant.  But sure sounded like Habib to me.  I complied out of fear and have yet to receive any paperwork for the 998.00 they bilked me out of. Said that once this was paid in full they would disclose thru the paperwork that they would send. Its been a month now> I will be contacting my ag in Indiana, the ag in Florida, and the FBI.

Yes, contact the Office of the Florida Attorney General at http://myfloridalegal.com/Contact.nsf/Contact ... Economic_Crimes and the FTC at https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov, but someone who you really, REALLY ought to contact is the Office of Financial Regulation, who regulates collection agencies, at 1-850-410-9805 (1-800-848-3792 for Florida residents) and the Division of Consumer Services (a division of the Florida Department of Agriculture), who regulates telemarketers, at http://app1.800helpfla.com/cswebcomplaints/FileComplaint.aspx or at 1-850-488-2221 (1-800-HELP-FLA for Florida residents). Mention the reported mailing addresses above and the scammers' phone number in your complaint(s).

    David,

If you are indeed a legitimate company, please provide the full company name and address.  I am sure there are many others that would like to write to you requesting verification as per the FDCPA.

I have been receiving these calls for the past week.  Just this morning SAM SCOTT called a treatened my work place.  All payday loans that I have ever applied for have been paid in full and in fact I currently have one from same company used previously.  This time they are asking for 4x the money that I have ever gotten from a loan.  Want me to call back at  1-800-253-8218 to resolve this matter or else it will be bad for me. This makes no since what so ever.  I really want them to call my job because our company attorney is in my office. I am in Texas and it is against the law to harrass you at home or work once you have told them to stop calling.

First of all, to trace an IP is a crime, a felony.  I've seen your "post" on several other numbers.  I'm impressed that you can even copy and paste!  You are a scam and a big loser, Mike.  We are all on to you.

David as legitimate as i would like to think your company is I have called and asked for your company's address and have been hung up on.  I have filed a police report and was told that the police report is irrelivant.  I am now filing a report with a friend at the FBI who will be able to investigate further.  Your company does not comply with the guidelines I know becasue I work in the legal department for a company and am very familiar with this.  You company has harassed me asking for someone lese and I am filing complaints with every law enforcement agency that will accept the complaint.  Someone will catch you and you, Peter, Erik and Ace will all go to jail... hope you enjoy your summer if you get to see it all.

Every now and then these scamming criminal collectors go on COMPLAINT sites like this one, usually out of greed and desperation when the scam over the phones stops working profitably.  David fits this profile perfectly.  We can only hope he gets his just rewards for his bevavior in this life if not the next, such as picking up the soap for Bubba in the prison shower.

In the meantime, nobody owes people who use these kinds of tactics a DAMN thing other than a loud whistle in their ear when they invade your phone.

I did borrow the money andd they claim that the company didn't want the money and they would have me proscuted for theft and check fraud. I made arrangements to pay them the 350.00 then they added a 30.00 processing fee.. they took the money from my daughters bank account without her permission. for 700.oo dollars  Iam really mad and don't know what I can do. they got a total of 1080.00 from me including my daughters account. Help for "babygirl" replies to babygirl
    | 3 replies
babygirl - you can call your bank and tell them that $700 or more was not authorized by you.  All banks have a fraud department that handle this.  Do this for both yours and your daughter's account.  They will reimburse you the funds immediately and then I would close the account immediately and open a new one.  Do this before they take out any more money.  Your bank will send you papers to fill out about the non-authorized charge.  I've had this done to me too and I bank at Chase.  They immediately transferred back the money to a new account for me and closed my old one so no more charges from these people could come thru.  If you have any pending transactions you will need to wait for them to clear.  Then they mailed me some papers to fill out and all it asked for was the unauthorized charge and a brief explanation.  All I put on there was "this charge was not authorized by me".  There will also be a place on the form to fill out the phone number for these people.  Don't worry, you'll get your money back.  But depending on who you bank with, they might do all of this over the phone.

Also remember, a debt collector cannot threaten you with court, criminal charges or anything.  If they do this they are breaking the FDCPA (Federal Debt Collection Practices Act).  And when they tell you to pay a certain amount, tell them you want something in writing before you will pay.  They won't send you anything because they don't have anything. They also will not take you to court. It's a very horrible scam these people commit.  If they get really nasty with you, just hang up.  And if they keep calling, keep hanging up.  I would never pay them another penny!  If you owe money to cash.net, pay them directly.  Never pay a third party collector.

So please contact your bank before they make another charge.  These scammers will more than likely do another charge claiming it was for court fees or check fees or something fees.  They will do and say anything to get money from you and your daughter.  And remember, they cannot do anything to you (like take you to court, arrest you, etc).  It's all a lie to scare you into paying them.  I hope this helps.
