The message left on my voice mail was "This is CitiBank fradulent warning calling. There has been recent activity on you Citi Business card. It is important to contact us as soon as possible. Future transactions may require you calling to protect your account from fradulent use. Please confirm activity by calling 800-750-7453."

The weird thing is, the number they gave me to call back was the ACTUAL Citi Cards number -- which was really weird. I talked to the Citi Cards fradulent use department -- they said there was no activity on my cards and they had never called me. They said it was a scam to get my information. Strange.

I just received a call from this weird number 904-954-7500.  I didn't pick up and they didn't leave a message.  This happened right after I canceled my macy's card.  Macy was giving me a hard time closing their account.  I heard that Macy was selling card holer information to Citibank.....Maybe this is somehow related?

    No # AE card
I received today a call from "CitiCard Fraudulent Warning" by "Pedro in CitiBank". He said someone has used my name to obtain an American Express card during this month & charged against it for thousands of dollars. He was able to tell me correctly my first & last digit in my SS#. When I asked him what is the AE credit card number, he said he just wanted to confirm my residence address so that he can send me an affidavit & help me thereof. I decided that must be a fraud because why did he refuse to tell me the AE card #, if it is true?! He gave me no last name but his operator ID# JAFW546. I asked for follow-up number & he gave me 800-825-2484.... I have applied for J.C. Penny card recently. Maybe they sell the info ?

This number called from Citi Bank to inform me of some credit card account information that was wrong on a application. It wasn't a scam, it was just a rep calling for some account verification.

I get a call from them once a week but I never do answer or they never do leave messages. And I don't even have a Citibank credit card. The caller ID says Citicorp Financial.

This number called me and left a message because of changes to my account. I had changed my address and phone number online, and I got a call to both my old number and my new number. They said in the message that it was about my Mastercard, but I only use VISA. The number they said to return the call to did not show up in the list of contact number on Citi's website. They said that my account would be blocked until I call them, but I used my card later that day and the next day without a problem. Sure sounds like a scam to me.

"This is an important message for (my name). This is Kim with Citibank's early warning department. If you could please call us back at 1-800-825-0393. We're calling on behalf of MTVU Platinum Select Mastercard. We have a question concerning some recent changes made to your account. When you return your call, please have your credit card number available. Anybody can assist you with this phone call. We do apologize for any inconvenience. We will have to continue to block your account from further activity until we receive your phone call back. Thank you and have a great day."

My message said the caller was "Greg from Padilla's" or thats what it sounded like... could have been something else as he was difficult to understand and spoke very rapidly. Left a number to call which doesn't work. The 904 number did connect me to citi, who promptly routed me through to a guy in INDIA who said he couldn't help me because I didn't have an account. Asked him to put me on the no call list.

just got a cell call from 904-954-7500, called it back and it was citi corp. asking for a lupe, said to speak to a supervisor and they took my cell number and info on lupe who they keep thinking is at this number, and said it would be removed from thier call list. I do not have a macy's card or citi card and explained to them they need to stop calling, because they will never get a hold of the person they truly need to talk too. I think it is somone doing fraud and this is a mess and someone needs to correct it so honest people can go about their lives with out criminals. Lupe if your out there RUN because i will get you and beat you down like a rabid animal, PAY YOUR BILLS LADIE.

Got a call from this number claiming to be a rep from CitiCards Fraud Center and wanted to verify the activity on my card and make sure that they had the right billing address to send the new card. They seemed to have all the information. Only thing I was asked was to verify the billing address, which I refused to do since I don't know who was really at the other end of the line. Advised me to call the number on the back of the card and upon calling the number on the back of the card, the whole story checked out.

I started getting calls from this number identified as Citicards.  I was out of town when they started calling me, and Citicards confirmed that there was nothing wrong with my credit card.  Because I have refused to pay a medical bill to a local hospital, all kinds of collection agencies are disturbing me, and now this new number has been added to the list.  I don't use my voice mail anymore but caller ID.  I believe this is fraudulent.
