I got a call from this number and it was LEGIT!! Someone had tried to use my Corporate Card at Walmart.com. The card has been cancelled and replaced thanks to thier diligence.

I had some recent identity theft. Citibank called me on a Sunday evening from this number and I was suspicious. I don't own a Citibank card or account. They were calling me about charges made on my credit card. Someone had opened an account with my name and ssn. The next day, I went to the Citibank website, called their phone number for lost/stolen cards. I was then transfered to the fraud department. The call the day before was legit. The caller from Citibank told me they got my number from trans union. They also told me there was a second number listed with trans union. That second number was the same number appearing on all the fraudulant activity I've experienced recently. I can understand people not wanting to deal with a call from Citibank that makes no sense. But I would call citibank directly, find out if there is any account made up using your name and/or social. If you have no idea why they are calling, that is even more reason to investigate.

Be CAREFUL.....I got a call from this number, they left a voice mail with a phone number that results to be a fax#, they also left a reference number. I called citi bank and they told me their references numbers are different, suggested me to be careful and disregard this call.

I received a call from 904-954-7500 and a lady said " Citi or City"  this number has nothing to do with Citibank or Citicard.  This is a scam.  Don't fall for it.  I have a Citi card account and called Citibank directIy, I spoke with a representative and my account was fine and up to date.  If you get a call from 904-954-7500, these people are lying and complete scamers.  Don't give them the time of day.  Hang up or better yet, don't answer....call your local Police Department and report the fraudulent activity.   It needs to be documented...

This is not a scam.  I have a repayment plan on a citi mastercard.  They call once a year to renew my payment schedule.  If you're uncomfortable simply call the number on your citi card and speak to customer service.  I do that anyway.

Just received a call from this number after returning a call from Citibank regarding a fraudulent charge on my credit card.  After I hung up on Citibank after being on hold for 5 minutes, I immediately got a call from the 904 954 7500 number asking for information about a Citibank card I do not own.  This sounds exactly like a phishing scam to me.

Got a call from this number from "fraud department". I called the 800 number on the back of my card and it actually was a call from Citibank. There was some suspicious online activity through my online access and they wanted to change my security info, verify my address and make sure there weren't any fraudulent charges. They told me to scan for malware on my computer to be safe.

If they are phoning you, I would advise calling them back. Someone may have taken out a card in your name or it could just be a wrong number in their system. Better safe than sorry.

this number is legit.....called me to ask if i'd made two online purchases.... i did not......they didn't ask me for any personal info......just said need to close current card issue a new one afer i confirmed i did not make the two online purchases.....caller id said 'citicards'.........

I received a call right after I'd made a small purchase through a U.K. website. They said they wanted to make sure it was me using the card. I said it was, and the woman didn't ask for any more information. I used my Macy's American Express.

Received call from 904-954-7500 this afternoon stating it was Citibank calling to verify a charge made   this morning to my account for $35 and gave the name of the company where the purchase was made.  I did not make any charge, but I asked why they were calling for such a small purchase and she said "b/c the type of purchase was out of your regular buying pattern".   At that point I asked if I could call her back to verify she was with Citibank...I think she originally said she was with the Early Warning or Fraud department.  She said "Oh, you want to verify I am with CB, that's fine, just call the number on the back of your credit card".  I asked for her name and she said "Laine" and then I asked, again, for her number.  That time she gave me 1-800-695-4981.  My phone Caller ID said Citibank and gave the 904-954-7500 number. When I called the number she gave me, the 800-695-4981, I went directly into a queue without any announcement of the company name  (Citibank) or ANY name. I decided to hang up and call the number on the back of my card...a different number, of course!  Citibank Early Warning/Fraud department  did NOT call me.  There was NOT a charge for $35 on my account.  They said it was a "phishing" call and documented all the details in my account.

They got voicemail on our company main line and we were left a bizarre message that was nothing but "on hold" music.  Luckily, we are a private security services business with a licensed PI on staff.  here's the last two years registrations for this number, which has changed hands a ridiculous number of times, all with hokey sounding names and addresses.   Please note the first few entries and the last few.  This number definitely belongs to scammers.

This number IS legitimate. Got a call from them today about hacking problem on my Citi card & Citi confirmed it was REAL. I know because I called the number ON THE BACK OF MY CARD.
THAT IS WHAT IS CRITICAL -- ALWAYS, ALWAYS just call the number on THE BACK OF YOUR CARD INSTEAD. It will always be safe.

Got a call from this number today. Seemed to be a valid CitiCard Fraud warning. I gave them no info and they confirmed accurate purchases from the last couple days. I remember having some trouble with my payment being verified, so I'm not surprised it turned up in their department.

As far as I can tell, this was completely valid.

Received call from 904-954-7500 this afternoon stating it was Citibank calling to verify a charge made   this morning to my account for $35 and gave the name of the company where the purchase was made.  I did not make any charge, but I asked why they were calling for such a small purchase and she said "b/c the type of purchase was out of your regular buying pattern".   At that point I asked if I could call her back to verify she was with Citibank...I think she originally said she was with the Early Warning or Fraud department.  She said "Oh, you want to verify I am with CB, that's fine, just call the number on the back of your credit card".  I asked for her name and she said "Laine" and then I asked, again, for her number.  That time she gave me 1-800-695-4981.  My phone Caller ID said Citibank and gave the 904-954-7500 number. When I called the number she gave me, the 800-695-4981, I went directly into a queue without any announcement of the company name  (Citibank) or ANY name. I decided to hang up and call the number on the back of my card...a different number, of course!  Citibank Early Warning/Fraud department  did NOT call me.  There was NOT a charge for $35 on my account.  They said it was a "phishing" call and documented all the details in my account.

Annoying phone calls.

I got a call from them, sounded like some guy in India, saying he was with my Macy's American Express account and needed me to call him back to verify my account number. I emailed Macy's account services and they confirmed they did not call me. I am going to call the number back and have some fun yelling at them!

Got a call from this number today - said "strange" charges were hitting my card, I didn't make said purchases, so they cancelled and are re-issuing a new card.  I then called the 800 number on the back of the card and they confirmed everything was legit.  This is a legit Citi number.

She call my cell  and she try to tell me that someone applying a citibank card under my name. ( How can she know my cell phone #?). Then she ask for my address to send me some document...  I just hang up my phone and google her phone #  and end up here.

the number is LEGIT, but dont give a call back to the 904 number, just give a call back to the 1800 number on the back of your card, or call 1 800 766 2484 (citi card) and ask them WTF is going on.  
They stated that i had fraudulent charges from best buy and some scuba store.  Account closed and new card will be sent.  Good thing they called i would have been pretty pissed seeing that in my statement, and i hope the [***] making the charges dies from that scuba gear he or she bought with my card.
