This caller is a collection agency

This number shows as an unknown caller, but it is to a legitimate bill collector.  If you're getting called then you haven't paid a bill somewhere along the way.  I had a 2 yr old $40 phone bill they called me about.  When they call I answered the phone and they gave me the information of what and where to pay, which I did.  They also gave me the information that I needed to clear my credit report now that the bill is paid.

I think you are a liar for the following reasons:

No one Googles the phone number of a bill collector after a trouble-free resolution of a $40.00 phone bill – they just get on with their lives. You must have had another reason for coming here. I think it's to shill for the people making these phone calls.

Your statement that it is possible to "clear" your credit report now that the bill is paid is false.

"  Or possibly you have the same last name or a phone number as someone else who might possibly owe  a bill, or not.  " When they call I answered the phone and they gave me the information of what and where to pay, which I did"  So they didn't validate the debt as required by law and you just blindly took their word that you owed and paid them, not knowing if they even had the right to collect this alleged debt?  "They also gave me the information that I needed to clear my credit report now that the bill is paid."  sorry but there is no information they could give you where you would have the ability to "clear: you own credit report.  the best that could have been done was that they would inform the credit bureau that it was paid after collections were initiated and that would remain on your credit report for 7 years.  You are a huge failure at being a shill, huge failure.

So, the best things to do are to read the following, and make complaints at the provided links.  Also, any communication with these criminals should be by certified, return receipt US mail only:
Federal law (FDCPA) requires them to send you a letter (US MAIL ONLY) within 5 days of their first contact that contains their name, physical address, the creditor’s name, and the amount of the alleged debt.  It also must contains “mini-Miranda” telling you that it is an attempt to collect a debt and that all information will be used for those purposes.  The one other important thing that this letter must also have in it is that you have a right to dispute the debt within 30 days receipt of the letter and if you do so, all collection activity must be stopped until the debt is verified.
