I received a call from a Robert Wilson calling from 916-259-9381, He called work number and had a very thick accent but I heard something about m social secruity number and that he would turn me over for theft.  When I call back no one picks up.

916-259-9381 called twice didn't say anything

word of advice. DO NOT SPEAK TO THEM. once you do they will harass you. even after you think you got rid of them in a few months they will keep trying. i have changed my cell number so they dont have that now but my work number cant change so they try calling that number. lucky for me im the one who picks up the phone so when i get a "can i speak to (my name)" i always ask who is calling and if its them they usually say "i am calling from law office" i js say "she no longer works here, is there something i can help you with?" and they hang up right away.

But last year when this started they called my phone but i didnt recognize the number so i didnt answer, and then they called my work and started telling me i had 3 counts of fraud against me and my social security number. and they said i was going to be sued but i can settle it out of court if i pay them 180$. so i told them i would call them back. so i called my dad and then we went to my banker and he said that he gets calls about these ppl all the time. BECAUSE THEY HAVE YOUR SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER AND BANK ACCOUNT NUMBER so he js recommends that i keep my social security on watch and js change my bank account number. so i did that. n he told me they were a scam and to js call all their bluffs. once they realize they arnt getting any money out of u they will move on to the next person on their list. so i did that... "WE ARE GOING TO SUE YOU".. "go ahead send me my subpena"..... "YOU WILL BE ARRESTED AT WORK IN AN HOUR"...  "go for it, im right here waiting"... "WE WILL TAKE THE MONEY OUT OF YOUR BANK ACCOUNT"..."good luck with that since i already changed it" then they hung up. every 2 or 3 months they will call my work but i js give them the same "she doesnt work here" story and they leave me alone. i will soon be rid of them for good tho cuz i am leaving this office so a completely unrelated job so i will never have to deal with them again :)

called 3 times within a 10 minute period. I told him not to call me again and that I was going to call the CA  state attorney general. same person that has call me before.  poor English. heavy ascent

I received a voicemail from this number stating that I had three judgement against me and that the cop will arrived at my house in one hour to arrested me and put me n jail for six months. this is a scam I got scared n cme hme but nating happen no police at all
he had a accent too state that his name was paul Johnson n he is a state attorney. be careful on this number

Just this morning on 10/10/13 I got a phone call from 9162599381 and a woman with indian accent threatened me that if I dont pay $745.29 before 12 noon I would be arrested. She got all my information correct.The same number called my job and informed my supervisor that I was going to be arrested for a loan I dont remember taking. I hurriedly went to the bank and had this amount in my hand. Then she instructed that I should not pay by Western Union or by cheque. My wife quickly googled Adams Spencer and the associated phone number and found out that it was a scam. God save us from these criminals.

I just received a call from this number as well!  He has a heavy accent and was asking for someone I don't know, he knew the last 4 of their social.  He said he was an attorney.  I advised him to get someone on the phone that could speak ENGLISH!!!!! Needless to say he tried to talk over me, and it got ugly.  He better not call back, when I call the number it just beeps, nobody picks up.

100% scam artists. Sound like they are from Pakistan. They cursed me out when I didn't give out my social security number over the phone. Beware! Do not give out any information to these people. They also use different names.

You are correct.  I will never do anything on-line again.  I learned my lesson as well.

Called my work phone and threatened me with jail. Said he had my ss number. said he was from a lw office.

Got called literally 5 minutes ago and some dude with the thickest Asian accent I've ever heard (and I'm asian) left me a message saying they were IRS and needed me to call them back right away. Nice try, [***]. I couldn't understand literally anything they were saying. Will report this to my attorney general.

you can download on your phone free apps which can block calls.  Blackberry has an excellent one called "Call Manager" and it's good for Blackberry phones which have system 10.3 and above.
