At 5 PM on a Thursday afternoon two days after I bought an I-phone and changes cell phone service to ATT I received a call from this number. I did not recogzize the number so I did not answer it. They called my HOME phone and not my cell phone! After reading the posts I understand it was a survey call from ATT--not something I want to participate in!!

A call from this number has been received four times in the past three days.  I was not at home the first three times.  Today I answered the phone and no one was there.  The ID says ATT 916-313-4200. I do not know what these calls are about but I DO NOT want them and want them to stop.

just received a call today, one day after I added a capabilty to my cell phone. We answered thinking it was from our granddaughter but nothign on the other end.  I figure like the rest of the posts, it has something to do with AT&T as I added a capability to my cell phone yesterday.

I got this number called me three times too. I guess I am same as everyone that I bought a cell phone on last sunday. Silly AtT.....

I just got a brand new at&t phone & the call came in on My home phone (weird) & I was unable to answer it, so I called it back not knowing this info you guys have shared.
it was DISH network with an automated advertisement about their services! what a JOKE!
Did not get a new cell phone to get solicited advertising on it!

I haven't bought anything from AT&T and I even got their survey robo call. I'm on Verizon. Duh?

I received a call at 4:04 pm today 8/28/09 and I just purchased an up grade phone from AT&T yesterday.

Call received 4:04pm 2.28.09. Purchased AT&T cell phone (up grade) through Radio Shack.  My answering machine picked up the following message "for English press 1." I was not home but the auto recording was stuck and kept repeating the request.

I received two calls from this number on my caller ID all it states is Sacramento, CA.  They never leave a message.  I, too, just bought a new cell phone from AT&T yesterday, so it must be customer service stated like the other posts.  I live in Pennsylvania.

Caller id shows 916-313-4200. Left no message. Looked up numer and found this site. I exchanged an item at the Apple Store yesterday, and they asked for my phone number. Then, today I got the call. I bought an iPhone in August (love it), but did not receive any calls until now. Saw an update below where if they called the number back, they were directed to 510-373-3800...robot. NOTEWORTHY: I recently switched home service from AT&T to Comcast. They did not ask me for my listing preferences, and made my number listed. I called them, and they are changing that (for an extra $1.50 a month). I suggested they ask if you'd like that at time of transfer.

p.s. I gave Apple folks my "home" number for this transaction so that I would not be bothered on my cell phone. They ask for this information if you agree to accept a receipt via email. I cannot be sure that this is what caused this morning's call of course.

i left a message as follows:

"hi, i constantly receive calls from your ATT survey number [their 916] to my home number [home number].
i do not wish to receive calls from your ATT survey number [their 916], please discontinue calling my home number [home number].
I do not wish to hear from your survey number again, goodbye"

if it happens again i will do it again, exactly as above over and over.
the above is my recommended procedure to let them know our displeasure.
their survey number is an automated system which does not let you talk to a human to get the calls to stop, the att wireless president number is a good way to get through, thanks.

missed call...

I Don't know how these thieves got my info but I realized they have been charging me $9.99 for almost a year. I keep getting these text messages with game info from http://www.gamer-data.com/ the number is 41463. I keep replying that they should stop but text always comes back undelivered. Finally got AT&T to stop charges. Now I need to find a way to get one year of charges back.

We bought a cell phone at AT&T in Fresno, CA on November 21, 2009, and I received a call from this number today--same silence and disconnection as everyone else has noted. I'd love to solve this mystery. Any way we can track the number to the perpetrator (who must be in cahoots with AT&T somehow)?  Area Code 916 is Sacramento, CA.

Got a call from 1-916-630-4200 caller ID said Amerigas Sacremento Cal, called long distance to speak with Amerigas in Sac. They claim to have no affiliation with the number. Told me that no information on the matter was available. This number is a sham! You can-not even call the number back,It goes straight to a busy signal. Even that isn't right, most busy signals have a recording. You can interrupt most domestic calls for a fee.
